It started on July 4th 1776, read a very interesting book, Hating America by Barry and Judith Rubin

hmmm. Seems USers should be used to it by now. But one has to wonder why the US (itself) continues to foster it. Seems that this is another perpetual cycle. Set people up to "hate" you, by your actions, and then whine about them reacting with anger /'hatred".

If the US is an example of having something to flag wave about......who needs it.?? Sad that being a "despised" (generally) nation now is something to flag wave about. But one assumes this unifies and glorifies in its own way....

(hi ITN.....I see we are back dualling as usual.. hope your day is a good one.)

one thing I (personally) really do respect in /of the US and it is the Space program. The technology, genius in that field is awesome.--and so many postive off shoots have come out of it.

musings: Which nation has the most prejudice and "hatred" WITHIN it's borders...as it stands today?? Wonder how each nation would rate on the "hatred" barometer..

'nother musing/question: How many here within our little forum community "hate" the terrorists??? Is it hate or is it fear??? Do we hate what we fear???

I don't hate the terrorists nor do I hate any religion they may or may not belong to. I don't believe for a second they hate us for our freedoms, they don't even hate us as people. They hate our governments for policies and sticking a nose where it's not wanted. Condi Rice, for example, has had a warning or criticism for a country on a daily basis for the past little while. First off, who gave her the moral right to publicly denounce someone on a daily basis and secondly, did she ever stop to think that she's pissing people off in these countries, even just a little?! 80 :?: :?:

You forgot a key question Canucklehead. While Condi is sitting there denouncing these people, she has top of the line security keeping her ass covered, so you should be asking, how much does she care about the fact that she is pissing these people off?

Exactely right. They don't even hate us. They hate our governments for sticking their noses in their country's affairs. Since when did Iraq have terrorists?

Since when did Iraq have terrorists?

only since the US in its infinite stupidity attached/invaded them.

(nice going bush cabal.....

On a personal level.......I don't even "hate" this bush characature, I just want him OUT OF THE US GOV'T with some intelligent /reasonable replacement. What is interesting is that post the London attacks........ many groups were carrying signs saying they hated BUSH. (blaming him)......not the terrorists who attacked them. What does that tell one??? Condi Rice is spreading anger each and every day.......anger at the US. She is the most patronizing arrogant member in office.
