The EU will do what they have always done, implode and solve things with a long and bloody 'civil war'. You would think they would eventually catch onto what is really going on in the world.

group together? Nothing brings people together then a shared dislike.
No the best plan when the ones hunting you have big bombs. 'Sharing in the spoils' must be running a close second then.

He should be able to alienate all the US's allies (except the kind that have oil) within the month at this rate.

Do you think he thinks ahead? or just goes with his gut?

Well if he thinks ahead before saying something then he is far less intelligent than I thought, judging by many of his comments. I'd go with the gut and a hair-trigger temper that lashes out at the faintest perceived slight.

Ok... group together... then what.

This is not an original thought that you are expressing. I heard the same thing all through the Bush years. It amuses me.

The latest rift with Australia is that in the waning days of the Obama Presidency, the former President struck a deal with the Aussie PM to take in a couple of thousand refugees off Australia's hands. In return Australia would take some refugees from Central America.

His bombastic nature may not work so well in the diplomacy arena that IS politics. Hard to believe, but I think it's going to get even more interesting then it has already been.

Mark Twain said it better:
There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages

I guess if the US thinks they can go it alone...

with only the muslim countries not banned...

Interesting times to say the least.

Your bombastic leader is providing us all with some amazingly interesting viewing opportunity. Entertaining, educational (not his intent for sure). Psychologist probably haven't had anything this interesting in quite awhile.

I'm still amused. I love watching the Liberals burn their own stuff and defecate where they sleep. As long as they stay in their Liberal bubbles they might not even get hurt.

And Trump grows popular every day as the rest of America sees who wanted to be in charge.

I don't think the rift between Trump and other world leaders is as bitter as the media makes it out. As long as media can exaggerate and stir people up their ratings will rise.
Rumblings of war have been evident for years, certainly all through the Obama administration. It will be handy when full blown war finally comes to be able to blame Trump for it.
But Trump is just the unfortunate one who will have to deal with all the problems created by previous administrations that have been leading to war. And the protesters are not helping.
The vigorous opposition to Trump is showing the world how deeply divided America is so it will seem like a perfect time for enemies to attack.
This is probably why totalitarian countries don't allow public criticism of the government; enemies get the idea that they wouldn't defend themselves very well and might even welcome an overthrow of their government.

No one else that is stupid enough has the capability.

I think Iran is stupid enough. Why does a country want missiles? The obvious reason is so they can fire them at somebody.
Iran is testing missiles. What does that say?
Iran is already a rich country and Obama gave them enough money to finance a war without even touching their own coffers. Smart move!

Putin isn't stupid enough to start a nuclear war but there are lots of other choices, out there. Once the bombs start flying ... they could come from Pakistan or Wyoming or some other unstable place on earth like that ... all those automatic, retaiatory routines kick in on 15 minutes notice ... 5 minutes, if launched from boomer subs.

Putin's not the madman on the loose.

Bret Easton Ellis: Trump is president, get over it

Americans need to get used to the fact Donald Trump was elected as president, US writer Bret Easton Ellis has said.

The American Psycho author hit out at celebrity culture for their continued protests at Mr Trump’s presidency and said there had been an “overreaction” to the rise of the Republican businessman.

Speaking as he launched his art exhibition in central London alongside multimedia artist Alex Israel, Bret said: “I didn’t vote Trump, I’m just saying the hysteria is bothering me a lot more than the reality of what he’s doing.
