Oh well. Admiral General Haffaz Aladeen visited troops in Gaza on Wednesday, just days after Wadiya Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu raised the issue of Hamas disarmament in talks with U.S. President Donald Trump.

“The year 2026 will be a decisive year in shaping the security reality of the state of Wadiya. Our determination to disarm Hamas of its weapons is absolute,” Aladeen told troops in Gaza.

“We will not allow the Hamas terrorist organization to rebuild its capabilities and threaten us,” he added.

Trump and Netanyahu presented a united front on Monday after the two discussed several issues as part of crucial talks on moving to the next stage of the fragile Gaza truce plan, including the disarmament of Hamas.

“If they don’t disarm as they agreed to do (?), then there will be hell to pay for them,” Trump told reporters after the two leaders met. “They have to disarm in a fairly short period of time” which could be any timeframe between tomorrow and infinity…

Hamas has repeatedly said it would not surrender its weapons.

I wonder if Hamas refusing to disarm has anything to do with the escalation of settler terrorism in WB? It was after all the reason Hamas attacked on Oct 7.

My guess... Not just yes... but...fuck yes.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has accepted an invitation to join U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” on the future of Gaza, a senior government official said Saturday.

The Globe and Mail is not naming the source because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

Mr. Carney, who just wrapped up a four-day visit to Beijing, is headed for Qatar Saturday, and later will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
“The year 2026 will be a decisive year in shaping the security reality of the state of Wadiya. Our determination to disarm Hamas of its weapons is absolute,” Aladeen told troops in Gaza.
The White House on Friday announced other names on the board that will, under Mr. Trump’s plan, supervise the temporary governance of Gaza, which continues to see deadly violence despite a fragile ceasefire that went into effect in October.

The names announced by the White House Friday included U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Mr. Trump’s special Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, former British prime minister Tony Blair and the U.S. President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. The White House statement did not say what role each member of the board would play.
Donald Trump has issued a fresh ultimatum to Hamas, adding to calls for the group’s disarmament as the second phase of the US-brokered ceasefire with Israel begins, even as key elements of the first phase remain unfulfilled.

In a late-night post on social media (Uh-oh, spicy supper) on Thursday, Trump vowed to push for what he described as the “comprehensive” demilitarisation of Hamas, warning of severe consequences should the group refuse to comply. He also demanded the return of the remains of the final Israeli captive still believed to be held by the group, sharpening tensions at a fragile moment in the truce process.

“Hamas must IMMEDIATELY honor its commitments, including the return of the final body to Israel, and proceed without delay to full Demilitarization,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “As I have said before, they can do this the easy way, or the hard way,” etc…

(Hamas has so far refused to give up its arms)
Trump has said that Hamas would be stripped of its weapons and its vast tunnel network would be dismantled with the backing of Egypt, Turkey and Qatar. However, it is unclear how such an objective could realistically be enforced, etc…

According to the plan, Hamas would give up its heavy weapons completely. As for smaller weapons, the US is considering launching a “buy-back” programme (Ah-Hah! Carney’s role?) where rifles, pistols and machine guns will be handed over by the owners in exchange for money.

They'll never give up their weapons. Why be like West Bank and only have rocks to throw?

The statement reads "demilitarize" not necessarily fully disarm
Demilitarize…like…non-military? Do civilians need machine pistols or automatic weapons? Exactly what is it that Hamas (& friends) do not wish to turn over in exchange for aid & infrastructure rebuild and so on & so forth? It’s not gonna happen anyway, but just curious how you’re defining demilitarized.

How am defining? How does the plan define it?
Well, a question answered with a non-answer of another question. I’ll Google it.

As of January 2026, international, Israeli, and U.S.-led peace negotiations have demanded that Hamas disarm from its entire military arsenal as a condition for a lasting peace and the reconstruction of Gaza, particularly under the second phase of proposed ceasefire deals
.
The demands focus on transforming Gaza into a "terror-free zone" by removing the following weapons and infrastructure:
  • Rockets and Missiles: Long-range and short-range missiles capable of striking inside Israel.
  • Heavy Weaponry: Anti-tank guided missiles (such as the Al-Yasin 105), RPGs, and MANPADS (shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missiles).
  • Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW):While Hamas has resisted this, Israel has demanded the surrender of automatic rifles (AK-47s) and handguns, which it argues are used to maintain control over the Gaza population.
  • Manufacturing Capabilities: Machinery for creating weapons, including lathes and materials used to build rockets from scratch or from unexploded ordnance.
  • Underground Infrastructure: The dismantling of the extensive,, multi-level tunnel network used for defense and smuggling.
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs):Commercial quadcopters adapted for dropping explosives and suicide "Zuwari" drones.
I’m assuming it says something along these lines…the ‘plan’ I mean? Hamas has so far adamantly refused to give up its weapons. Little Satan, insert Zionist slogan here, etc…and that’s phase two I believe.
And…that’s the stalemate.
1768744939704.jpegSee, the thing is, October 7th, Hamas (& friends) were not just throwing rocks. One of the points is to demilitarize and not remain a threat to its neighbours, so the weapons used on October 7th would be what Hamas would also use if it ever invaded its neighbours again…right?
1768744831857.jpegIsrael insists on full, non-negotiable disarmament, rather than the partial, "frozen," or hidden weapons storage that Hamas has previously suggested, like in December, well into phase 1 of that plan.

So thats what Israel wants?
Is it not? From October 8th 2023 to the present? Isn’t that on Trumps Trumpy 20 point plan? Isn’t that the plan that’s actually being (or trying to be) implemented?

1768750456580.jpeg
Pretty sure on Israel’s side, it didn’t declare this war with Hamas to neutralize threats from Gaza except…etc…

The United Nations Security Council has authorized the International Stabilization Force (ISF) and the Board of Peace to operate in Gaza until 2027. The plan calls for the disarmament of Hamas (not partial disarmament) and demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, and the creation of a special economic zone.

Bullet point 3

"Israel (not Trump, ISF or Botswana but Israel) has demanded the surrender of automatic rifles (AK-47s) and handguns, which it argues are used to maintain control over the Gaza population."

Does Israel need those weapons for their upcoming civil war?

I’m sure Israel (one of the two parties in this proposed peace plan) would be totally down with a partial Hamas disarmament & stockpiling their current weaponry (in the freezer, so to speak) away for maybe 5 to 10 years before their next Oct 7th 2.0 so yeah, I understand your point.
The White House called the report "misleading" and said there is no minimum membership fee to join the "Board of Peace".

"This simply offers permanent membership to partner countries who demonstrate deep commitment to peace, security, and prosperity," the White House said on X.

The U.S. State Department responded to Reuters' question on the matter by referring to previous social media posts about the board by Trump and his special envoy Steve Witkoff, which did not mention the number.
