It is hilarious. I can almost see the thinking of the guys that produced the graph.
First, a graph representing the murder rates world wide:
unfortunately, that makes the United States look positively wonderful, as their murder rate is 25% better than the world average.
Well, heck, we better make it the OECD countries, that will make them the worst:
no - OECD comparisons are the norm if one intends to compare like/developed countries. Of course, again, you would prefer the U.S. gun culture be compared to 3rd-world, war torn and/or shyte-house countries. I can see your thinking here!
OOOPS....the US murder rate is 4.5 per 100,000 (2013) Unfortunately for these guys, the rates in two OECD countries are higher....... in Estonia it is 5.0 per 100,000and in Mexico it is 21.5 per 100,000, almost 5 times the US rate.
So how can they make the USA look bad with all its guns?
OH....we'll just count GUN murders.........
Classic cherry-picking.
imagine... a comparison of GUN MURDER RATES actually including gun murder rate data! Go figure.
Just a minute, most murders in Mexico are firearms murders........despite their strict gun control.
I went back to look at the graph.
Guess what OECD country is omitted??
MEXICO!!
Gee, I wonder why?
Absolutely beyond belief.
No, these guys don't have an agenda or anything.
per the graph source: an acknowledgement that Mexico was not included was made and based upon the fact Mexico, "has about triple the U.S. rate due in large part to the ongoing drug war". No conspiracy Colpy... well... other than the one's you've already attached to the UN! But hey, there's still Estonia... what's going on there, hey!!!
It ain't paranoia when they really are out to get you.
Stick around, you'll get educated on what a bunch of lying scum gun controllers really are........
oh my! You do take this very personal, don't you? How many guns does your militia have? Are "they" comin' fer them?
