It is hard to change once we've been conditioned by the mass media. What we previously thought to be fact in fact is not even remotely true, this realization if arrived at requires some adjustment that may not be comfortable for many but if pursued ultimately reveals that most of us live in a construct of many years in the making. Mother Teresa was a monumental fraud and con artist of the old school.

There is not one single thing in your original post that supports your contention that she was "a monumental fraud and con artist". Not a thing. Just bafflegab, bait-and-switch psuedo-logic, innuendo, ansd an insulting tone.

So, where did all her money go? Into helping the poor, to the Church.....or into her pocket? Did she have a mansion somewhere? Gold tub fixtures? A fleet of Mercedes? You would insinuate she was a thief, but I've seen nothing here to indicate she didn't spend it all on the poor of India.........not a thing.

You say her hospitals were warehousing of the sick of India......do you have any evidence that she DIDN'T spend every cent she brought in on that massive problem?

You say she took money from Papa Doc.....or Baby Doc (Duvalier).......so tell me, if you are administering first aid to a dying man on the street, and somebody hands you a needed bandage, do you ask him for references? For that matter, if you KNOW he is a psychotic murderer, do you refuse a perfectly good bandage for that reason?

You say she didn't return money donated by a thief............so, did she save that money in a bank account? Or was it already spent on good works? If the latter, was she to mislead the next donor, and use his money to pay off debts instead of to aid the poor?

So she had good medical care.....who paid for it? Was it free?

BTW, I was raised Baptist, don't give a damn about Catholicism, and don't at all understand the Saint thing in the first place.........

Hey, I had open heart surgery April 5, and I LOVE chocolate ice cream! I appreciate the parallel with Socrates (he too was simply given the death potion, and drank it down himself), but I hardly think having the good sense to argue with you deserves the death penalty!

Quit trying to dodge the bullet, DB, the point is that your charges and accusations against Mother Teresa are baseless, so I would suggest you provide some evidence, or (as King Juan Carlos said to that OTHER lefty-looney) "Why don't you just shut up?"

I will always be grateful to Mother Teresa because, the only time I met her, she said something so monumentally silly as to release me from all reverence for saints. She clasped my hand and looked up at me with her bright blue eyes, in which the sincerity was cranked up to 11, and said: "Please tell your readers ... that contraception murders love."
