Rev, too many things to respond to again. I will say that every party has idiots in it, and the liberals and NDP are no exception. I have said that I do not support Randy White. And calling Harper a bigot is not true, but by your definition, then Reg Alcott and Joe Volpe must be bigots too.

Eight balanced budgets are not hard to do when you increase the revenue streams, but cut no programs. And yes, tax rates are higher now than 1993, look it up. They are lower than 2000, true, but much higher than 1993 when the LIberals came to power, so your argument does not wash. And CPP has muliplied many times, and the EI surplus of $46billion came from workers, and employers of all sides. So even if tax rates are not down from a few years ago, CPP is up and the EI surplus of $46billion is taken into consideration in your balanced budget scenario. This is even without mentioning again the billions hidden in foundations accounts. The money to balance the budget came from increased tax, cpp and ei rates over the entire 12 years, and all of that either comes from employees or employers. Either way, balancing the budget did not come from reducing spending, just increasing revenue streams, primarily from workers or people creating jobs.

As for the rest...Squirm baby.

I don't like the Liberals either, but to try to say they haven't improved the economy, personal wealth, etc is extremely dishonest. F*ck that, it's an outright lie. I make more money, I get more back.

What I save on taxes amounts to a few beers, true, but it is a savings. I never saw that under Mulroney. In fact the last Conservative government not only cut into the beer money, but taxed me more while screwing poor people. I knew some of those poor people personally.

Harper is cool though. Every indication is that he'd screw poor people even more than Mulroney did. Now there's something to vote for.

Better than your choice which would be to tax everyone and everthing to death to fund ridiculous social engineering experiments. But you are right, Prime Minister Harper is cool though. What will you do when he wins the next election? I mean, really, you don't honestly expect the Chretienites (to borrow your phrases) to let Martin win the next election, do you? So when Prime Minister Harper takes the reins of government, exposes the corruption the Gomery inquiry has started to reveal, revealed what the foundation accounts were really for, reduced taxes to the workers of this country, kept the Atlantic Accord, kept the GST Gas tax rebate back to the cities and municipalties, reduced EI contributions to a self funding level, and cancelled the expensive and inefficient gun registy, what will you do? What WILL you do?

So the BQ can be convinced by TV coverage? Pretty weak argument

It is not.

I watch "politics" daily and that was the impression I got as well. It was a plan by Harper to keep gomery in peoples mind instead of doing the job he was elected to do. He should do his job and stop the childish antics.

So keeping the immoral, unethical, and probaly illegal things the government has done over the past 12 years is somehow wrong? That is the job the oppostion is supposed to do, point out the wrongdoings of the government and follow up on them. Surely you are not suggesting that Gomery should not be dismissed? There is no doubt now that the Liberal Party, including some members of the present government, were involved in what can only be described as Mafia like operations. We had better keep this front and center. To do otherwise would be an abdication of the the oppositions responsibilities.

The Final Gomery report has not come out. I will judge Martin then. But I guess you neocons like to convict people before all the facts are out. So much for innocent until proven guilty in the conservative world.

Harper is not doing his job. He is displaying childish behaviour and preventing the House from doing any work.

All Harper can see is achieving absolute power and that is all he cares about. He only cares about himself and gaining power not the citizens of Canada. Shame on him.

Forget it, No1...they haven't even been elected yet and they are already down the entertainment part of bread and circuses. The only real question is if we crucify them upside down or not.

No, you get it straight. The Final Gomery report will be a summary of what we have already heard, with recommendations only. It will not affix blame to anyone. And anyone who has observed the commission knows what happened and doesn't need someone else to tell me what happened. This is not a court, it is an inquiry, so there is no innocent or guilty to be judged, and Gomery does not have that latitude. But hey, if you want to wait another 6-8 months to confirm what has already been said, be my guest. But, as you are fond of saying, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it's a duck. And Martin and Co. are Dead Ducks.

Harper is not doing his job. He is displaying childish behaviour and preventing the House from doing any work.

The constitutional people now say that even though the original and subsequent votes are not confidence votes, the fact the Liberals lost means that they are de-facto non-confidence votes, and Martin should resign and call an election. As a result, Harper is doing his job by trying to get a corrupt, immoral and unethical government out of office. You want to keep them?

All Harper can see is achieving absolute power and that is all he cares about. He only cares about himself and gaining power not the citizens of Canada. Shame on him.

Oh come on. Martin would sell his soul to the devil to keep power. Oh wait, he already did sell it to Layton for $4.6billion that was not in the original budget. Amazing where that money came from, given that the corporate tax cuts will still go through, isn't it.

The logical extension of that is that the friend of my friend is my enemy. You'll miss a lot of free beer with that outlook. Did I meet you at a party once? I remember standing on top of somebody and making Tarzan noises...

Nope, nobody stands on top of me, and certainly not anyone making Tarzan noises. I hope for the persons sake you were standing on that you were wearing more than a loincloth, though. Although, I think a kilt may be more your style, you know, the traditional "air conditioned" type of kilt. :p
