The Princess Victoria of Sweden was married today in a fairytale wedding that cost $2.3 million dollars

Princess Victoria of Sweden marriage: The groom wipes away tears in fairytale wedding [PHOTOS]

I am interested..
In our time of Internet, dynamic style of life, big opportunities for self-expression in a different types of work.. and so on…

In some European countries, in a Sweden for example, are living a real Queens, Princess and Princes. How do they live? Are they boring with such type of profession? And if they are boring, why they don’t change theirs jobs?
I think that theirs life is like a life of pretty dog or cat. The all theirs time they do nothing! Except opening flower exhibitions and similar things. They don’t have any choice of their way!

They dedicate themselves to old tradition, they are only dolls for the other people of the country.

It’s a strange for me.. How could it be?

Yes, the aristocracy seems a little out of place in the 21st century. Even in Canada we are subject to the British monarchy which many of us are rather tired of. I think some countries keep the aristocracy simply because it would take to much effort to change how the country functions. All our political traditions would have to change, a large chunk of our bureaucracy would be out of work and all our $20 bills would have to have a different picture on it. What would we do with all the ones in circulation with the queen's ugly mug on them? But then I am being politically incorrect.

I don't know if they are dolls.
George VI and his wife and 2 daughters could have gone to a safewr place during WW2 - they stayed and played a great part in the moral support of their nation. Elizabeth drove trucks during the war. It might not seem a big thing, but to those people in London, the thought that their King and Queen decided to stay with them rather than go someplace safer gave them heart. Charles? People laugh at him for his views but he has been at the for front of the organic food movement. He took the Duchy of Cornwall into profit making. Personally, I'd HATE to be a member of a royal family. You're born into it, you're under public view for your whole life - who'd want it?
I'm thinking that for the most part, they have heavy schedules. They open the garden parties and the hospitals, they smile and make nice with people they (and probably you and I)wouldn't want to talk to in any day - but they do it because they believe that represent their country. You can't tell me that they don't realize that their lives are more ceremonial than anything else, but they still do it. They could take off somewhere with their millions and have a good time but they still stick around because they feel they feel that have a duty. Seems like good people to me.

I don’t mean that this traditions and the work of Queens and Kings are absolutely useless for the Society. And I believe, that they have heavy schedules and many everyday obligations. And maybe theirs activity helped the people during World War 2. Maybe. But the war was over many years ago.
So, for my opinion, the all things you’ve described are not very important. And the Society of the country could give up this traditions very easily. Because there are no Queens and Kings in other countries and it isn’t a trouble for the people.

So... they think that theirs missions (what they do) – are very important and theirs moral duty. And because of it they renounce a choice of work and a style of life.

They are Queens, and they have a millions.. but they don’t have a Freedom. They are slaves of old traditions.
The Freedom - is one of the main things in our life..

I can’t understand they :-(

If a person is born into a religion, the majority of people usually stay in that religion. If you were born in a certain country, the chances are you will live your life there. If you are born a gay man there is a chance you will become a queen. The aristocracy don't know any better, perhaps because they are so inbred.

Paradox.. (and not only for aristocracy)
Money and ancestry – when a person has these things in a big quantity – he could lost its Freedom..
