Ever wondered how our civilization came to be?
It was all thanks to a comet that obliterated the earth 13,000 years ago.
The impact caused an ice age and wiped out the wholly mammoth, but mankind survived. With fewer dangers around, humans stopped being nomadic which led to the development of agriculture and breeding of livestock.
This isn’t a new theory as it was proposed by author Graham Hancock two decades ago. Skeptics, however, doubt his findings.
Watch this video to learn more about the cataclysmic event that ended up doing civilization as we know it a great big favour.

Pretty much complete pseudo-science. Erik von Daniken did it better fifty years ago.

I heard that there is a theory that asteroid and comet strikes are not random but cyclical.

GOBEKLI TEPE sure makes a LIAR out of you ( well, you are doing it to yourself Squidward).

Gobekli Tepe: The World’s First Temple?
Predating Stonehenge by 6,000 years, Turkey’s stunning Gobekli Tepe upends the conventional view of the rise of civilization

You really don't know much about anything intelligent on the subject written since we see.
;)
Funny, you always seem to be up on the "POP" faktoids though.

The violent birth of modern man: The incredible ancient stone carvings that reveal how a devastating comet impact 13,000 years ago killed thousands, altered the climate and triggered the rise of the first civilisations
Scientists were analysing symbols carved on pillars at Gobekli Tepe in Turkey
Using memorial carvings they pinpointed a comet impact to around 11,000BC
The comet triggered a mini ice age that lasted 1,000 years
This ice age forced humans to develop farming techniques to grow their crops

I love the way certain people put Hancock down because his DISCOVERIES put them out of a job because they show how pretty much all of the chief yakkers in modern academia and religion are totally freakin' braindead genocidal nuts. ( keep pulling them statues down boys!!!)

FOR YOU SCIENCE HATERS:

No doubt it was built by the ancestors of George Soros. Sorry, but your gullibility is showing.
