He doesn't even come remotely close to being the Athlete that any competitive decathlete is. He would fall apart trying to do all ten of those athletic events.

Have you ever surfed... doubt it. I have played many sports in my life and it was truly one that kicked my ass. It`s not for the feint of heart pansies like your self.

Define athlete, I don't see Woods, Shumacher or Petty as athletes, not saying what they have achieved was anything but extroidinary.

The numbers game is irrelevant. Some sports have infrequent opportunities for competition or triumphs. Others are weekly events. Athleticism is not decided that way.

Curious, though, that today's fancy is a;ways the "greatest." Bobby Orr gives way to Gretzky. Abrahams to Bolt. Matthews to Ronaldo.

The whole idea is an absurd one.

By any chance do you mean Pakistani Jahangir Khan who is former squash champion?

He could mean Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The man is a god.

Tendulkar in action for India against Sri Lanka

For those who live in a place where cricket is huge - such as India, England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa - this batsman is viewed as a sporting legend. And quite rightly.

He is the leading run-scorer and century maker in Test and one-day international cricket. He is the first player to score a double century in Men's ODI cricket. In 2002, just 12 years into his career, Wisden ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, behind Donald Bradman (Australia), and the second greatest one-day-international (ODI) batsman of all time, behind Viv Richards (West Indies).

Tendulkar is the only cricketer to accomplish the feat of scoring a hundred centuries (a century is when a player scores 100 or more runs in a single innings) in international cricket which includes 49 ODI and 51 Test centuries. He is also the only player to score fifty centuries in Test cricket, and the first to score fifty centuries in all international cricket combined. On 17 October 2008, when he surpassed Brian Lara's record for the most runs scored in Test cricket, he also became the first batsman to score 12,000, 13,000, 14,000 and 15,000 runs in that form of the game, having also been the third batsman and first Indian to pass 11,000 runs in Test cricket. He was also the first player to score 10,000 runs in one-day internationals, and also the first player to cross every subsequent 1000-run mark that has been crossed in ODI cricket history. In the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, Tendulkar surpassed Australia's Allan Border to become the player to cross the 50-run mark the most number of times in Test cricket history, and also the second ever player to score 11 Test centuries against Australia, tying with Sir Jack Hobbs of England more than 70 years previously.Tendulkar passed 30,000 runs in international cricket on 20 November 2009. On 24 February 2010, Tendulkar became the first man to score a double century (200*) in an ODI against South Africa. On 8 November 2011, Tendulkar became the first batsman to score 15,000 runs in Test Cricket. He also holds the world record for playing highest number of Test and ODI matches.

Ah the enlightened ones that see women in sport.

Tell some of these women to "make me a samwich" and they may use your head as the meat.

Oh and this guy could box and think.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_J._Braddock

Baer hardly trained for the bout. Braddock, on the other hand, was training hard. "I'm training for a fight. Not a boxing contest or a clownin' contest or a dance." he said. "Whether it goes 1 round or 3 rounds or 10 rounds, it will be a fight and a fight all the way. When you've been through what I've had to face in the last two years, a Max Baer or a Bengal tiger looks like a house pet. He might come at me with a cannon and a blackjack and he would still be a picnic compared to what I've had to face."

Considered little more than a journeyman fighter, Braddock was hand-picked by Baer's handlers because he was seen as an easy payday for the champion. Instead, on June 13, 1935, at Madison Square Garden Bowl, Braddock won the Heavyweight Championship of the World as the 10-to-1 underdog in one of the most stunning upsets in boxing history.

During the fight, a dogged Braddock took a few heavy hits from the powerful younger champion (30 years vs 26 years for Baer), but Braddock kept coming, wearing down Baer, who seemed perplexed by Braddock's ability to take a punch. In the end, the judges gave Braddock the title with a unanimous decision.

[edit] Heavyweight ChampionJames Braddock suffered from problems with his arthritic hands after injuries throughout his career, and in 1936, his title defense in Madison Square Garden against the German Max Schmeling was canceled under suspicious circumstances. Braddock argued he would have received only a US$25,000 purse against Schmeling, compared to $250,000 against rising star Joe Louis.[citation needed]

Louis was considered to be the more dangerous opponent and the fact he, as a black man, could be heavyweight champion made many boxing insiders against him getting a title shot. Braddock agreed to the fight with the stipulation that he would receive 10% of Promoter Mike Jacobs future fights. So if Braddock beat Louis or Louis retired, the deal was for any fight and any boxer that Jacobs was handling for the next ten years. This money did not include the purse, just money from the concessions i.e. hotdogs, drinks, tee shirts programs etc. So win or lose Joe Gould got Braddock a great deal. While Braddock was able to knock down Louis in the fight, Louis went on to win. Louis was quoted as saying that Braddock was the bravest man he ever fought.[3]
