Homosexuality, despite politically correct rhetoric and a virtual media blackout, constitutes a mental disorder

This just goes to show how backwards think you are in your ideals, Mr. Jasano. I assume, in my original impression of you, that you are not a doctor and have no idea what even constitutes a mental disorder. On the contrary, I think it's a mental disorder to scrounge the Internet looking for forums like this just to post a pre-written essay with no substance or truth. It does, however, constitute propaganda in an attempt to further a failing and backwards cause that Mr. Harper wishes to support.

Mr. Harper and his party are not progressive and wish to bring this country back several decades in our progressive moral values.

I think there should be a provision in the Charter that guarantees the separation of church and state.

I think there should be guarantees that religious zealots will not be influencing or deciding policy on social issues...

I think the government should recognize that the church has had its day, and that social progression stagnated as a result...

I think that critical thinking classes should be part of the provincial curriculum from grade 1 onwards...let's give the children that were unfortunate enough to be born into these cults a fighting chance...

I agree that the churchy-folk should be free to exercise their mambe-je-hambo rituals, but like sodomy, it should be restricted to the privacy of their homes and churches...

Until that happens, the church will always be an albatross around the necks of those of us that wish to have a truly progressive, free and democratic society...

See the fatal flaw in your argument?
If it's true as you say that homosexuality is a mental disorder, then people "suffering" from it can't be discriminated against.
