Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Zionist movement responsible for the creation of Israel, and for its preservation. It is part of that ancient desire to return the "Holy Land". If there weren’t any Zionists in the Israeli Government, that would basically mean that they would probably cede the land back to Britain, or another state. I guess I mean to say to be a Israeli citizen is to be a Zionist.

True Judaism forbids it's proponents from setting up a State. The Torah specifically states that a Jew owes allegiance to the country in which he/she resides.

It was Zionists that set up the State of Israel, but upon whose authority did they have the right to do so? Upon whose authority did they feel they had to right to occupy territories that were already occupied by Palestinians...and when the Palestinians fought back, they took even more from them...

Zionism is a political movement to subvert control of Palestinian territories, and take what is not rightly theirs...we have been witnessing this for decades now, with no end in sight...

In order to understand what is happening in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, one must learn how and why Zionism began and was allowed to foment...this is difficult to do, as there is a lot of misinformation surrounding that particular issue...and who's to know what is and is not truth...

Also, it is a funny thing that your parents are not from here and you live in Canada along with them and yet saying that white people are racists because of the way they word things. Are you suggesting that the white man was racist about your Indian roots?

---I'm not sure where you got this from, but where did I say that Caucasions are racist? I thought I made it clear that the statement in questions (where one drops the fact that they know, are friends with minority group X) is done to show how open minded they are, like giving proof. Never did I say that anyone was racist. Are you trying to incite something?

The following is exact quote from your previous post:

Actually, my parents left cause they found India too hot, in that the heat gave my dad terrible headaches and what not.

They didn't escape any man made terror, only the terror of the sun.

You must be Caucasian, I love the comment "My daughters friends are also here from India". What does that mean, it adds nothing to the argument. A lot of Caucasians say this kind of statement to make them seem worldly and non racist by showing they have ethnic acquaintances and are open minded.

Look I'm not picking on you, just telling you how a lot of ethnic or minorities perceive that kind of statement. It makes me laugh.

I think this was pointed out already by someone else on this board when someone described how they "even had native children at their child's birthday party".

If this is not calling Cacausians racists, then what is?

MrMom. According to some here you are not allowed to mention that you live near or are friends with others who are not the same colour as you because to do means you are trying to prove how open minded you are.

MrMom. I live in surrey.

Thanks I Think Not. Views are healthy if taken in wisdom. No one should attack the other for his/her views as they only reflect his/her own. My experiences and what I went through helped me to develop these views and principles. If someone never witnessed a 9/11, they won't understand how it feels. All I am saying is people in the ME and especially the Pals being hit with 9/11 on a daily basis. How do you think the people of Iraq (the innocent ones) are feeling eveyday when their cities and towns are bombed with daisy chain bombs?

I never said that, and if you cannot understand what I meant then say so and I will drop it.

I never said you can't mention you have ethnic friends and what not, I just said it sounded weird cause you dropped that piece of information when it had no impact. Your daughter's friend parents are from India, I still don't see how that impacts your argument on terror. In fact most people who emigrate from India do so solely for economic gain and to escape over crowding and pollution. Also, just because your daughter's friend is Indian decent, how does that provide you with any extra knowledge?

I do not see why you are taking so much offense; I just thought it sounded weird, like when the guy mentioned that he even had native kids at his child's birthday. It was information that had no purpose, except to make the point that native children were at his kid’s birthday and that your daughter has an Indian friend.

Hey, if I wanted to call someone a racist I would just come out and say it. Nothing in the bolded statement says that caucasians are racists.

Unlike you who came out and blantantly called me anti-muslim, but I don't care. Call me what you want, think what you want.

Yes, you are right, I'm calling you a space frog. Obviously I should refrain from using colloquial and figurative speech with you.

They aren't feeling very happy thats for sure. And you're right, personal experiences matter. As the personal experiences of the Israeli posting here (I forget his name).

I agree on one point with some of you, that Israel holds the power hence the solution. Pals are equally powerful with their methods, though. Strapping bombs around them and killing themselves only means that someone or something is telling them its a good thing to not value life, including their own.

That tells me other forces are at work.

Do not hide behind you words. You talk from both sides of your mouth. You call someone something and then you say I did not do that. Be a man and admit it. As calling you anti-muslim. Yes I am, as you called me anti-Jewish or at least you assumed.
