Fall colors! Indian summer!

Next short while will be prime time. Six weeks of good weather after the last thunder storm.

All our crap and yet the world is still a beautiful place.

Northern Ontario,
The leaves are all yellow already and starting to fall.
I cut the grass for the last time (i hope) yesterday and maybe run the lawn-mower one last time in a couple of week just to shred the leaves instead of raking them ....it worked last year!

It was a warm November for whatever reason. Next to nothing for snow in the snow belt so far.

My theory is the Greco-Roman calendar is to blame.

It has been raining here for two days now and the backroads are sheets of ice - almost went in the ditch three times as the road crews can't keep up with putting sand down. Still, my heating bill is getting a break with the warmer weather.

You almost went slip sliding away .
My years of watching Canada's Worst Driver kicked in, pgs. Learning how they taught bad drivers all the necessary maneuvers to avoid crashes and collisions has helped me through many a very tricky moment.

Yes it is no fun driving on those icy roads . Just did 88 klicks up a frozen logging road and back , white knuckle the whole way . You have to admire those logging trucks flying along though .

I have more admiration for the ones that slow down for the conditions.........so that they can get their loads to the mills and then home to their families.

They mostly are competent and safety conscious operators in my experience . of course there are exceptions to every rule
