There are self help resources available Cliffy. Chances are good they are transdimentionally funded by both evil and non-evil corporations. You won't feel those urges anymore. Look them up on YouTube..

Greetings to all

When a person have that right kind of fear to our Lord Christ, he won't dare to do anything according to his own mind, but he always seek what is pleasing to our Lord, and live to do that, and nothing else.

That fear is not like a anxiety to make us weaker, or burden for us, but it is for wisdom to us. It is like a humble obedience to our Lord and God, to fill God's will without turning to right or left, for our own best, so we do not get lost from him which is the Life, but we stay in our Lord, and we be that light also for the other, that we do not spread wrong habit to others, but the light in us is a real light, from God.

That holy fear is necessary for us to have, it is for wisdom and it guiding us to be a humble servant of Lord Jesus Christ.

And remember that holy fear also in joy and sorrow, so you do not get lost even then, but you will act like in appropriate ways, like God's servant should act always.

So have that holy fear in you, but also remember to have love for everybody because that is the most biggest wisdom for us all and without it we are nothing.

Honor to the our Lord Jesus Christ and honor to the God Almighty forever and ever. Amen.

Do you think more people fear death or dying, Spade?
People in general fear going there before old age sends you there. I'm also thinking that most who have taken a life would prefer it was their own for most of the time after it happens.

When a person have that right kind of fear to our Lord Christ, he won't dare to do anything according to his own mind, but he always seek what is pleasing to our Lord, and live to do that, and nothing else.
The fear part is only for a moment at the beginning where you admit that you are in the presense of somebody who is stronger than you. What comes after that is because the 'work' brings good results and those are the emotions that dominate life, fear is non-existant except for that first meeting. How many times did any Prophet (other than Jonah) fear that God would come around again yet they all showed signs of fear when first contacted.

You should warn people when you have projectile vomiting.
I hope you wear this red badge with honor, like I have learned to do with all the ones you have given me. I'm proud you deserve a red but it is in a sad way I am afraid.. Welcome to the club you degenerate.

It's good that you are monitoring and refreshing the discussion as it can derail from the OP at times. How did you arrive at the "right kind of fear of your Lord Christ"? How do you maintain it?

Death is the natural order. However, an early, painful, or debilitating end is feared. Also, the death of family, especially the young, is particularly painful. Nevertheless, the myth of an afterlife is a but a temporary balm.

Hey, Brother. Good to see your text this morning. Sounds like you're leaning towards dying (procession towards death) as the more fearful. What about that unnerves us?

".... The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side,
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything."

Poor Jacques. A well-worn tabernacle perceived as loss.

"Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness." (Proverbs 16:31 NIV)

Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
(Dylan Thomas 1914-1953)

The poet advised his father to resist death, then succumbed to alcohol at the tender age of 39. Did the poet's fear of dying/death hasten it? How does one approach this inevitability in peace?

If you're still monitoring the discussion, Mikko, I would be interested in hearing about "the right kind of fear of the Lord".

There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear is the killer of dreams. To live in fear is to already be dead. Live with an attitude of gratitude and you will live in peace. There is no reason to fear the Creator. Humans, on the other hand, are scary Mofos with their hidden agendas, ulterior motives and other psychotic behaviours.

What blessings are you counting today, Cliffy?
After 6 near death experiences, every day is a blessing. My life is a blessing. I am surrounded by good people, good friends and I live in paradise. Who could ask for anything more?

How about 6 less NDE's?
Are the people who feel that way without almost croaking disillusioned. I'm pretty sure that after 5 I'm going to get a tat that says 'do not revive'. In case you are wondering those close calls make you stupider rather than smarter.

Greetings to all,

Right kind of fear, wakes a right kind of obedience to God, so it is for understanding.

Every knee must bend in front of the Lord.

"Anyone who makes themselves great will be humbled, and anyone who humbles
themselves will be made great."

So peoples humbled your self, so that Lord in time exalt you.

All honor and thanks to God and our Lord Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen.

God bless you all in your repentance in our Lord Jesus Christ.

I'm not wondering and according to your avatar you are a liar.

You bend away to your lord and master. My Creator does not require that kind of nonsense.
