No, you are dead wrong.

The most recent Book of God was brought down to Joseph Smith.

A far more credible recipient than the terrorist, bigamist, illterate child-abuser you believe in.

Yes Joseph Smith the polygamist and product of incest.

Only an atheist can do good deeds altruistically as he has no god or reward to look forward to.
Balogna. What about people who think that gods don't give a hoot and are therefore irrelevant? I do stuff for people just because. It's my nature to help people and I am no atheist.

You belong to the second wrong extreme: those who associate Jesus, saints, sages, imams and idols together or apart from God Almighty.

"Yes Joseph Smith the polygamist and product of incest."

So was Mohammed, and Joseph Smith is far more recent, which was the subject of this thread.

Also, remember that Joseph Smith NEVER advocated the extinction of people of other faith, like Mohammed.

*shrugs* It's only wrong in your small opinion. In my opinion, I'm doing just fine. :)
All that religious stuff you mention doesn't do anything because gods ignore us and what happens in our universe.

Mohammed did not say he will exterminate people; but God Himself gave promise in the Quran that God will exterminate disbelievers in the future, as had He exterminated them in the past.

So no one can object to God's decree, and no one can change His will to destroy the disbelievers and associaters in the future.

Given the destructive and immature nature of your god and the Christian god, I think if I were to "worship" any god, I'd pick a nicer one.

Please stop your blasphemy and NEVER EVER use God and Mohammed in the same post (or sentence).

You are of course absolutely right and I knew that when I wrote it. Buddhists also do good work and they too believe god is not involved in human affairs. I was just picking his nose and used the shortest route to that end.

Actually, it is my understanding from having worked for a Mormon for 7 years, that Mormons believe that aboriginal Americans are the descendants of the original dark skinned race that were at war with the light skinned race (supposedly two of the original 12 tribes of Israel that migrated to the Americas in ancient times) and that this race was to be converted to Mormonism or exterminated. If you are a Mormon, you should know that (or not).

It's OK Jack. He thinks you are the blasphemer and many of us think you both are. It's call freedom of religion and freedom from religion. So chill out Jack or you'll give yourself a heart attack, and we would not want to lose you as you are very entertaining.

Exactly. Anyone can babble about stuff. Actions speak louder.
So far, I haven't seen a whole lot of action from any gods, just a lot of babbling from people claiming ability to speak for them.
God gives me a tingle somewhere private when you quote me :angel4:

The submission to God alone

Originally, all the heavenly religions are the same: devotion to God alone.

Abraham was "hanief" which means: devoted to God alone and against the idolatry.

Moses and his people became Jews: which means: turning to God with obedience.

The followers of Jesus were not called Christians at the start; they were called النصارى the Nazaret, which means: the helpers of Jesus for the religion of God.

The "Islam": means the submission to God alone.

Nonsense. The Norse knew of no single god and they had a heaven called "Valhalla". My ancestors had a heaven called, "Wakwi" and had no idea of this Christian god or the Muslim god, either.

I'm still convinced gods don't care a whit about humans, so there's no point in "submission" to them.

Let's see. Belief in angels makes sense, but belief in faeries is absurd.
There are devils but there are no trolls.
There are spirits but no hidden people.
Help me out here.. What's real, and what isn't?
