Britain is totally bankrupt. Britain only has a reputation which was earned from years gone by, and America uses this reputation to drive its global agenda. Britain is totally happy to tag along as a very junior partner. When the West says or uses the term "The World" thinks this or that, it must include Britain. There are about 190 countries in the world, but in American terminology ..... "The World" means NATO members.
Britain was a husk to be used, as are america, canada, and the eu et al.

These ancient European countries have no natural resources left. They are barren lands. They must always be on the prowl to grab any part of a resource owned by others. That is why France as an example is strutting around in Mali, Nigeria, Sudan and many other places.

The former Prime Minister went on to state that,
“tragic though they were, should not obscure the enormous progress.”
