Notorious Database Vows to Attack Abbas

Shabak, otherwise known as Shin Bet, the Israeli intelligence service, is busy at work as of late. “A previously unknown group that links itself to al Qaeda has claimed responsibility for a failed attempt to kill the Palestinian intelligence chief, according to a Web statement posted on Sunday,” reports Reuters. “The group, called the Qaeda Organisation of the State of Palestine, also vowed to target other senior officials, including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.”

As the late Robin Cook, former British Foreign Secretary of the House of Commons, and Pierre-Henry Bunel, a former agent for French military intelligence, revealed last year, “al-Qaeda” is short for Qeidat il-Maaloomaa, a database initially located in a communications computer dedicated to the of the Islamic Conference’s secretariat and used to track members of the CIA-ISI contrived mujaheddin in Afghanistan. “Al Qaida was neither a terrorist group nor Osama bin Laden’s personal property,” writes Bunel. “The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the ‘devil’ only in order to drive the ‘TV watcher’ to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US and the lobbyists for the US war on terrorism are only interested in making money.”

In Israel, the idea is not so much to make money hand over fist as turn “al-Qaeda” into a nightmare for Mahmoud Abbas and Fatah. In due time, Hamas, the democratically elected representative of the Palestinian people, will be synonymous with “al-Qaeda.” As recent history demonstrates, it is easier to get “TV watchers” to accept mass murder if you preface the cold-blooded act with repeated references to a scary “al-Qaeda” monster and the ghost of Osama bin Laden—not that the Israelis need an excuse to kill innocent men, women, and children.

As the clockwork precise assassinations of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and Abed al-Aziz Rantissi demonstrate, Shin Bet effectively penetrated Hamas long ago. In fact, Hamas, initially spun off the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization long ago penetrated by British and American intelligence (see Peter Goodgame) and used as a cudgel against the dangerous pan-Arabism of Egypt’s Gamal Abd an-Nasser, was nurtured by Israeli intelligence in order to combat Palestinian nationalism (see Richard Sale). As Brig. Gen. Yithaq Segev, the onetime military governor of Gaza, told UPI, he helped fund “Islamic movements as a counterweight to the PLO and communists.”

Last December, Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya’alon, Israel’s former military chief of staff, told the American Zio

FiveParadox is tired and cranky, and yet decides nonetheless decides to post some blurb about civility in the discussions and debate on these forums, something about not insulting each other, something about criticising arguments rather than posters, and some funny quip to leave it light-hearted.

Insert blurb here.

I think not said:
I so do love these posts, it shows the fringe left will never be taken seriously, hence they will never govern.

I so do love these posts, it shows that the fringe right lies through it's teeth. The project to eradicate the left has been one of the biggest expenditures of capital and manpower in the last hundred years, and like many private sector projects has been a total failure rife with coruption and incompetance. It continues to fail at an accelarated rate, and even in the face of concrete evidence the rotten right continues to bullshit it's way to oblivion.

Can't resist this...

'al-Qaeda' is short for Qeidat il-Maaloomaa, a database... "there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida...” writes Bunel.

From Wikipedia:

Al-Qaeda (Arabic: القاعدة‎ , translit: al-Qā‘idah; "the database" or more loosely "the foundation" or "the base") is the name given to an international Islamic fundamentalist organization...

Chuckles aside, I hope everyone has seen the British documentary The Power of Nightmares. It makes the excellent case that Al-Qaeda started out as a rag-tag group of no-names (that didn't itself have a name) who were ignored or treated with disdain in the Arab world.

This small, insignificant group became a scapegoat for Western ambitions, whereby Western nations cooked the intel to fit their desired political outcomes. Now Al-Qaeda is big. Now it has respect. Now it has no problems in recruitment.
