But we proceed from a very similar set of values, and so often end up in different places.

But it's the common set of values that makes me like and trust you.

Your "big gummint" comment is dead on. Only thing you're wrong about is the notion that Cruz didn't want more gummint.

The United States government is big. Regardless of who is President. Cruz would be no different than any of the others.

He didn't give up free healthcare cuz no one in Canada has free healthcare. US healthcare is still much better than in Canada even with BHO trying to destroy it.

My GP brother in TX gets his patients in for cancer care the same day they are diagnosed. Try and get that done in Canada. You need a pacemaker, you get it the next day not in three months. Catscans are same day, x-rays same day, MRI same day etc...

My father is getting a pacemaker put in June 3rd... less than a month to wait.

When lived in Texas I went to a hospital to check on growth behind my ear, the hospital didn't do any tests, and stated it was just a swollen gland, went to two other hospitals in Arlington, TX and both of the misdiagnosed the growth.

I returned to Vancouver, BC to get checked out.. The Canadian Hospital did an untrasound and biopsy and discover it was cancer, in less than 2 weeks I was under a knife in a Canadian hospital...



If you love the USA so much WalMart, then move there, and don't let the door hit you in the azz on the way out.

BTW, www.maplematch.com works both ways, you can help a US Citizen move to Canada by marriage and vice versa you can get your US papers..

Spent the better part of a day and night in the ER with my wife this weekend and I have to agree with you. I don't think the care was that bad (it was adequate) but the fact that it is free there were people clogging the system with a scratch on the leg (true story) and other non-emergencies. And ER medicine is probably one of the best parts of the Canadian system. Heaven forbid you need to get on a waiting list for a specialist or surgery.

Surprisingly I was in E.R. a couple of times in the last few years, once in life threatening condition and you might be surprised just how quickly they do jump to action. But you do have to be pretty sick first. Anyway they fixed me up pretty good & I think there's still lots of good miles left!
