Muslims are welcome in America as long as they don't try to silence my blasphemy against their religion. Free speech is protected by the First Amendment to the US Constitution. I'll tolerate them as long as they tolerate my blasphemy. But I won't tolerate the intolerant.

Query: What do the Profit (haha) Mohammed and I have in common? We both made a night journey to Jerusalem. He did so on a winged horse. I did so on a Harley Davidson. And neither one of us accomplished a damned thing. That is blasphemy. It is also free speech. Free speech must be tolerated if there is to be tolerance reciprocated.

not to make every thread about 9/11 truth but really the problem with the muslim debate is that the idea that they are the ones committing these atrocities that have been pinned on them is ridiculous. Muslims had nothing to do with 9/11. Absolutely nothing. I don't even like the religion, i hate almost all religions btw, but they didn't do that.

I think Islam is an awful thing that is nto good for thew world or any person or society. Christianity and Judaism aren't far behind but realistically what is preached in islam is actually much worse than the other 2 mentioned. The other 2 just happen to have corrupt people running them, as does Islam but whatever, all religions are stupid.

Isn't it nice to see that ignorance is alive and well in America. They can't yell, or curse at
black people anymore so its the Muslims turn. Duffy or what ever the handle is knows
very little about America or the Muslim Faith. First of all yes, I have been critical of the
Muslim religion at times as it has no central focus and sometimes gets out of hand, Then
if you look at the Sunni version of the faith it is pretty moderate. In fact in the Middle Ages
the Muslims had culture and the Christian Crusaders came and destroyed it.

As for knowing little about America, has no one told the Tea Party that the Muslims in their
midst are also American Citizens and entitled to the same rights as Tea Party Members
themselves? Screaming fanatics, identifying themselves as Republicans and Tea Party
Members appear to be the ignorant aggressors here, blurting out hate and angry aggression.
The Council Woman in question speaking at the microphone is supposed to represent all
in her community and that includes the members of the Muslim Faith, or does she not know
that.

Let me try to understand this. People gather with the flags draped around their cause, the flag
they claim represents the flag of freedom and equality, and they spew hatred and bigotry, and
denounce them as evil without even knowing them. How did these people demonstrate they
had a superior way of life. Would you want to join the American Dream if it were presented to
you the way these people showed their real face to the Muslims in their community?
How could grown people act like this, and frighten little kids in the street? Talk about terrorists.
What I saw on the video was people going to an event in a peaceful manner. I also people who
behaved like vigilante terrorists, in a threatening manner, shouting insults at women and children
Sure makes me want to join the Tea Party Republican Cause.
The problem America is in, comes down to this, they can't see reality either is the societal realm
or in the political realm. They chant against Obama, for the Mess W made and they think God is
going to come back and save them. God is not coming anywhere near these folks, they are
nuts.

It is ground that can be defended. W ran up deficit and debt the like the country had
never seen. He gave everyone with a drivers license 600 dollars to go shopping to
turn the economy around. Yes Obama bailed out the banks and some car companies.
The reason? W and his clan in the White House allowed the derivative or leveraged
funds to amount to somewhere near a quadrillion dollars and if the economy fell that
money on paper would have been called upon.
Obama is moving to provide health care and other social programs that the rest of the
civilized world has had for fifty to a hundred years. America is being left behind and the
people cling to a warped version of religion that has been perverted for decades. I am
not against religion, I am against using it to brainwash the masses, that they should be
afraid of everything including their shadow. America was once a great country but it is
slowly sinking into the sunset, not because of Obama, although he has made some
mistakes, mostly listening to the fanatical right. Bush is not even the main problem here,
Ronald Reagan is the man who first began to dismantle America. All this unbridled
free enterprise is every bit as destabilizing as unbridled socialism.
The United States of America is a has been country waiting to sink beneath the weight of
its own corruption. This is truly sad. When unpatriotic businessmen can sell their country
out for a few bucks in profit margin. On the other hand, I say the average person who is
so greedy they are prepared to cheer on an economy that champions cheep consumer
goods even at the expense of their standard of living. Isn't it wonderful the companies we
have demonstrating how green they are, and how much money they area saving you.
All the while, the companies are working people in the third world for a few bucks a day,
making a mockery out of environmental regulations, and shipping the goods here for you and
I to buy on credit, until we bleed the nation dry. All this for their own profit, and bonus at the
end of the year.
I agree we have to make a profit, I also understand that these companies have a responsibility
to the communities they serve. Maybe we should be pointing out which companies are in fact
patriotic and which ones are selling out our national interests for their profit margins and at the
same time destroying the environment internationally to circumvent the laws and regulations
at home.
Unbridled Conservatism is as bad or worse than unbridled socialism and at present, America is
recovering from a serious dose of unbridled conservatism. Obama has to problems, one to
clean up the mess and at the same time bring America into the 19Th and 20Th Century in terms
of social progress.
Anyone who claims the excess of the political right and it insane deregulation policy is misleading
themselves. If you are going to defend Bush, just thing ENRON, the problem is he created an
economic house of cards and the present administration has to deal with that.
Face it the Tea Party has become an undisciplined, bunch of yahoo's that even the mainstream
Republicans are ashamed of. One look at the video, watching grown people behave like that
and in any measure trying to support them is totally out of touch with humanity, let alone the
political realm. Are Democrats perfect? No, they fiddle faddle around, instead of just getting it done.
They have to clean up the mess created by socially backward people, greedy consumers, gutless
politicians, and deceitful business executives and a whole generation who spends their time
playing electronic games or watching Entertainment Tonight, while the world goes to hell in a hand basket.

I guess this rant is over.

I have a question, it's a little off topic, but I really need an answer to this dilemma...

I keep finding rotten carrots in the 50lbs bags I buy.

It wouldn't be so bad, but by the time I find them, they've rotted all the carrots around them.

What should I do?

In this country we should never ever bow down to people who want to control others or twart their point of view by calling them names or swearing at them.
These type of people are dangerous to our freedom of expression and our democracy.

Calling people names and swearing is part of free expression too.

Stop buying your carrots in bags.

That's a lot of carrots. And you're bound to miss some bad ones.

I switched to dried corn.
That's too bad. If the quality control was better, you wouldn't have to give up carrots entirely. If 50 lbs is too much, try bringing in 10 lbs at a time instead. That way you wouldn't have to give up carrots entirely for the less nutritious dried corn.

Good point Ton! That could definitely could prevent kneejerk reactions.

I would agree. But that's not how they're sold. Unless I go to the grocery store and that's not cost effective.

But I'm choosy, I buy the one that is fortified with minerals and nutrients from the local coop. But I really do miss carrots. They're are natures nutritious snack stick and the Deer love them.

Sometimes you have to be just as selective in where you get your feed, as well as what feed you get.

I had a fish question for you, but for the life of me, I can't remember it now. I think it had to do with Lake Trout. And why aren't you at the other place?

No farmers markets?

I plan on visiting more shortly. For the time being I'm still on dial-up, and the other place loads slower than a 90 year old granny on a fork lift.

I was buying my carrots right from the farmers. Tried a couple different ones. Same results.

Being discriminating, isn't always negative discrimination.

I plan on visiting more shortly.
Cool!!!

For the time being I'm still on dial-up,
How did you end up on dial-up?

And trust me, I know how you feel. I just gave up on the net while I was stuck with the Rogers light internet connection.

We moved out of Charlottetown, out into farm country. I guess Bell/Aliant signed a deal to bring highspeed to all rural customers, but when we moved out here they told us they were at capacity. So we tried Rogers rocket stick, that was a miserable failure. I found a company that provides wireless if you have line of sight, and if the technicians get a signal from your roof, they install the receiver. So I asked my landlord about that, he called up Aliant, was talking to some executive, and now I guess they are building new capacity out here...so hopefully soonish. Jamie needs it for her vet school work, badly.

Why does the video not show what was being said inside the building?
