Isn't it Samoans who carry their entire family histories in the tats on their bods? I think that's kind of neat.

Samoan Tattoos - LoveToKnow Tattoos

I saw a group of Polynesian/Samoan men when I was in Paris, and there is just something so incredibly powerful about the black ink on their particular colour of skin. It was highly intriguing. I would have loved the chance to get up close and examine every inch of those tattoos let me tell you. ;-)

"To me tattoos and body piercing are akin to self mutilation."

Cliffy, at long last we have found something which we can agree.

Usually I'm in the "to each their own" camp on these things, but what
was this guy thinking?

"So you're saying that I can safely assume that's not your belly in the picture above then?"

Ron, I may be seventy years old, but I am a trim, 5'11", 195 lbs senior citizen. My belly is quite bit flatter and not defaced by pornographic tattooes, thank you!

I don't like the idea of permanent changes to my body. I have scars, from accidents and skin grafts, but I'm not planning any plastic surgery, or dyeing my hair, or anything of that sort. I just don't have any use for that stuff.

It's just not for me. I is what I is, and that's the way it'll be...sagging and bulging as the years go by.

I like looking at tattoo art, big ones are cool. As a personal preference though they're not for me. As I tell my tattooed friends and coworkers, I don't need to display or prove toughness because I naturally emulate it.

This would probably be petty, but I would have to base my reaction on exactly what the tattoo is. Tasteful? Cool? Original? Not on the face...

They're pretty permanent too. Once they're there, they're there for good. 8O
I said, "Nice One. Hang on a second. I'm going to go & get my Camera."

That was his first one.

I had an email sent yesterday of a tatoo that makes this one look like nothing. I so wish I had kept it. It started about the belt line and went down - over all body parts of the male. This tattoo isn't "prison green/blue".
