And if not. . . die.
Or sit in Canada with their single-payer health care and pretend you're not a socialist.
Care of a disabled dependent is not covered and is usually picked up by a relative. Since there is no other payers for basic healthcare, there isn't much in the private sector insurance segment to cover this either.
I have Blue Cross to help cover Provincial shortfalls in dealing with MS.
Which ones have worked well? But you are correct. The Canadian government has adopted several socialist polices over the years. Some have worked well, others not no much.
Which ones have worked well?
Copy/paste (not politically correct but has to be said)
The knee's not the problem . . .
Children raised in fatherless homes, especially black children, are far more
likely than children raised in two parent homes to engage in criminal
behavior and thus, have contact with police.
Ergo when they father a child with a woman to whom they are not married - or at least living with -they
are contributing to the problem against which these football players are
taking a knee.
If you look at many of these players' records on out-of-wedlock children,
you find that they are contributing significantly to the problem against
which they are protesting.
For example, Antonio Cromartie has 12 children by 9 different women.
Apparently the NFL had to shell out $500,000 before he could even play
football for them. Travis Henry has 11 children by 10 women, Willis McGahee
has 9 children by 8 women, Derrick Thomas has 7 children by 5 different
women, Bennie Blades has 6 children by 6 women, Ray Lewis has 6 children by
4 women and Marshall Faulk has 6 children by 3 women.
They forgot to include Adrian Peterson. 11 kids from 7 different women?
Before these guys take a knee they should take a good look in the mirror.
It appears that their problem is not the knee. Its the weenee.
You could not put it any better.
What God giveth, Trump taketh away?
The White House sends out a newsletter, “1600 daily”, each day to subscribers about what’s new in the marvelous world inhabited by Donald J. Trump. On July 25 it reported about the president’s talk before the Veterans of Foreign Wars national convention in Missouri: “We don’t apologize for America anymore. We stand up for America. And we stand up for our National Anthem,” the President said to “a thundering ovation”.
At the same time, the newsletter informed us that the State Department is bringing together religious leaders and others for the first-ever Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom. “The goal is simple,” we are told, “to promote the God-given human right to believe what you choose.”
Aha! I see. But what about those who believe that standing for the National Anthem implies support for America’s racism or police brutality? Is it not a God-given human right to believe such a thing and “take a knee” in protest?
Or is it the devil that puts such evil ideas into our heads?
