Would Syrian troops be considered 'innocents'? So far about 1,000 have been killed, how many in Bahrain before the Government started shooting to kill?
A year ago, Bahrain and Syria had about the same number of protestors. However, since Bahrain is friendly to the west they did not become the object of a western destabilization effort, unlike Syria. If the same effort was made to destabilize Bahrain as Syria, then Bahrain would now be slaughtering their citizens like Syria. Instead, Bahrain was able to use military force to contain the uprising (at least for now). Enough torture and killing went on in Bahrain for our western media to manipulate perceptions with selected imagery and news stories.. Instead our MSM showed few to no images and as a result most Canadians are not aware of Bahrain's problems.... unlike Syria where our MSM does show us gory imagery.
FYI:
The 2011–2012 Bahraini uprising,
sometimes called the February 14 Revolution (Arabic: ثورة 14 فبراير ) is a series of demonstrations, amounting to a sustained campaign of civil resistance, in the Persian Gulf country of Bahrain. As part of the revolutionary wave of protests in the Middle East and North Africa following the self-immolation of Mohammed Bouazizi in Tunisia, the Bahraini protests were initially aimed at achieving greater political freedom and equality for the majority Shia population, and expanded to a call to end the monarchy of King Hamad following a deadly night raid on 17 February against protesters at the Pearl Roundabout in Manama, known locally as the Bloody Thursday.
