The words you are searching for are free, self-reliant, confident,.....the rest of your post is simply idiotic trolling.........and I have to go.

I'll continue your education later.

Good, I'd like you to explain how gun control in this country will one day cause us to be in a situation like Egypt.

Thanks gun perv.

I see mine as a way to knock caps off of coke bottles....you as a instrument against oppression in good old oppressive Canada....hide your guns the Liberals are murdering dictators....honeslty I could go on forever with the nutty crap that spews out of your mouth sometimes Coply.

Does your wife know about you and your gun or is it on the side?

Armed Canadians would not be so submissive to a couple of families moving to Canada demanding that you make their living conditions exactly like it was in their homelands. By the way, I bet there not concerned with how you feel.

Uh-huh.

First of all, you are setting up straw men, then knocking them down.....I hope you are having fun, because it has NOTHING to do with me or my arguments.

I never mentioned Egypt in relation to gun ownership.

I certainly never accused the government of Canada of being so restrictive that armed revolt was necessary. I have restrained myself, and not shot a politician in weeks! (insert VERY rolled eyes here)

My wife is fully aware of my relationship with firearms.......thank you.

How about sticking to the argument at hand? Or do you find it difficult to focus that long?

I'm having fun alright.

Gun control = future oppression by Liberals and liberals until we no longer have elections.

That's what I thought.

You have neither the intellect nor the intellectual discipline necessary to engage in a debate.

Good night now.

I don't think anyone here is talking about compulsory firearms courses or ownership. As for the freedom to bear arms, I'm not 100% sure, but I tend to lean much more in favour of allowing them than vice versa.

Strange as it might sound though, I have no interest in owning a firearm myself. Yet I still tend towards letting people own them.

Ahhh...excuse me?

Perhaps you misunderstand the concept of "paraphrase"....it does not mean "to invent stuff never said and attempt to smear people with it", which seems to be the definition you are operating under.

When it comes to guns and gun ownership, Canadians are pussy whipped. Private gun owners are our only defense from a possible future take over by some despot. Give Harper a majority and we may need all those guns.

Wait? What? I thought all you people up in the valley had been Reform Party voters back in the 1990s? You'll be shooting guns alright, not at each other but into the air to celebrate the news!

Regardless guns are not necessary for a rebellion, the country would come to a halt regardless if people had guns or kitchen instruments in their hands. Guns are more important for housing defence, preventing enslavement (If an invader, or even the Canadian Government, started a Gulag) and socially are symbols of masculinity - not so much in the "wow I have a penis" male-chauvinist way, but it says a lot about a state where an adult man is treated like a small boy and not trusted to keep a weapon.

Here's one of the kooks:

Thomas Jefferson.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"
-- Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

"As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives [only] moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion to your walks."
-- Thomas Jefferson, writing to his teenaged nephew.

Now, I understand that you believe Jean (the Don) Chretien whose greatest quote was "Pepper is what I put on my plate" has a superior intellect to the revolutionary philosopher and architect quoted above....

Well, what else can I say to that?????

Yeah, I get it.

You think if we don't have guns we will have a Liberal theocracy.

I think I pointed that out in my paraphrasing.

Btw, Cretiens greatest quote was a proof is a proof and it is not a proof until it is proven......it's still not a proof because it was never proven.

Thanks Jean for keeping us out of Bush's imperical war, paying down our debts with a robust economy and regulating our banks to protect us from what happened in the US.

Good guy, he ate at my table.

This should keep you busy after your head explodes from what I just said.

Naw, the problem is you don't understand the concept of liberty....unfortunately, that is epidemic in this society.

The US, as always, leads the way. Many states have gone to licensed concealed carry and their crime rates have fallen significantly. Gun crime, conversely, has the Toronto liberal idiocracy wetting it's pants in fear as they try to blame American guns for Jamaican and Haitian crime. It looks good on them too!

Yep, concealed carry works....in the USA......I'd be a little stricter about it myself.

I think that to be allowed to carry as a citizen in Canada you should have to pass background checks and fulfill the ability and legal knowledge of "use of force" to the level of a police constable.

Which is not that hard.

i used to train people to that level in 40 hours.
