Summer is a convenient time for making crop circles, unless you have gravity defying spacecraft, then one should be able to make that design whenever one likes. So why not in winter? It makes a species like like pussies. Afraid of a little cold? I thought space can be a cold place though...

Actually crop circles have been found in snow and on icy ponds, Tonington. Check out Star Dreams.

yes, very true mate, I feel sorry for those that believe that crop circles are made using a bit of rope and a piece of wood ROFLMAO!!!!!

As do I, Stretch. The sheer size, complexity and intricacy of the designs, the fact that stems are bent not broken and that they appear overnight should at least give pause for thought.

Sure some circles are manmade. There are all kinds of sites on the web that show how they can be made. However, manmade circles hardly come close to the sophistication and immensity of many crop circles whose origin is unknown.

Do you also feel sorry for the group of Brits who were actually filmed doing it? It's pretty well documented that crop circles can be made using everything from 2X6s to lawn rollers. It is interesting that no crop circles have ever been made in fields of mature corn (in spite of the Mel Gibson movie) or sugar cane; only in crops that can easily be trampled down.

In certain circles, BS, the crops are NOT trampled down. The stalks of grain are bent, not broken and the grain still grows as has been well documented. It is the one thing that all the fakers cannot duplicate.

i remember seeing an old episode of sightings in which 3 crop circle rocks were found. the crop circle rocks were made of nearly 100% pure bronze, silver and gold.

I saw a program that pointed out that when the crop is watered, what time of day the crop is worked, and the maturity of the stalks, can factor into the 'bent not broken' effect.

I've seen the nuts wandering around those very fields, pointing out the "unbroken" stalks. They blithely ignore the broken stalks right next the them. This is clearly a case of being selectively observant and it is interesting that in almost every case these crop circle "experts" are authors of some UFO book they are promoting. One fact stands out in every crop circle case and that is that although there is documented evidence of people creating similar circles, there is not one documented case of any extraterrestrial ever making one.
