Domestic violence in the FN community is head and shoulders above all other ethnic communities in Canada.
And your point is?
Strong programs should be implemented if this the truth,
the coppers should not be wasting time on repeat offenders of domestic violence
Strong community programs is what is needed,
Domestic violence is treatable

and your point is......
How did you get before me? Can't help yourself?

I don't know the stats in fetal alcohol syndrome but I do imagine they have dropped, then it depends on the information gathering process
Tricky slope information collection is

I think reporting process can be altered to be bias
As I information audited I noticed patterns of how attention is given to information collection and in some cases dropping important information so facts can be ignored

Gerry H should just rest,I don't think her or his optimism is clear visioned, too negative and moody

trauma can be passed on in your dna. This means that major trauma suffered by a parent can be passed onto the children. I'd imagine the effects of colonization on the natives DNA would be quite damaging.

New Research Shows DNA Can Be Altered by Trauma, Passed On to Offspring

While we have long known that hereditary genes are responsible for physical attributes and for illnesses or allergies, scientists have discovered that the trauma experienced by one generation can alter genes and those mutations can be passed along to offspring.

Researchers at Mount Sinai hospital and the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center, both in New York, studied the genetics of 32 Jewish men and women who had experienced the horrors of persecution during the Nazi regime, either because they had been in a concentration camp, witnessed or experienced torture or were forced into hiding. The children of these individuals, known to have a greater likelihood of stress disorders, were also studied. The researchers then compared their findings to Jewish families who had not been in Europe during that time, and the differences in DNA were noticeable.

I don't believe trauma can be passed on in your DNA. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me.

It's called 'publish or perish'.

These doctors get grants for their far-fetched studies, and need to present SOMETHING lest the money trickle dries up. So they report ANY cockamamie theory that pops into their heads to keep the gravy flowing. Seen it a million times.

Can you also pass through DNA the propensity to fart at the dinner table?

Treatable? Feral people are a real bitch to domesticate. Tbey need to be treated the way they treat their women which having the sh-t beaten out of them daily.

Any Injun in SK with grade 10 and can pass a piss test goes to the front of the line for trade union jobs and mining. All they have to do is show up.

When it comes to how FN have been and are being treated, I can hardly believe it's 2017.

Common sense that is not so common

what about it do you not believe?

I personally find it quite plausible and fascinating. Especially when it comes to gene therapy and heredity.

I'm not going to "fix" sweet pi$$ all. It's not up to me to fix anyone else. It is up to them. ADD, ADHD, OCD, FAS, etc, may be a "reason" for certain behaviours, but it is NOT an excuse for those behaviours. We all have the ability to recognize and make changes. It may not be easy, but very little in life is easy.

Using a "condition", such as FAS or ADD, etc as an excuse for ones "failures" is a cop out. Plain and simple.

Actually, Twila, correct me if I'm wrong but you have ADD, correct? Do you consider it as a valid excuse for your "failures"? For your behaviour? Do you use it as an excuse?

Are you taking your medication

Really,how do you know that

What else do you know,?

Do you know what wait times for ambulances on FN?

I like to compare wait times where I live to FN response times
