She doesn't drop beets.

Exports rose to a record high $47.7 billion, a gain of 1.8 per cent. Shipments of motor vehicles and parts were up 4.4 per cent to $8.1 billion, while exports of energy products increased to $8.8 billion, up 2.5 per cent.

Still waiting on that quote...

"It's a very strong trend... we see this continuing because there is strong U.S. growth," said Ross Prusakowski, a senior economist at Export Development Canada.
Wait, strong growth under Trump? Impossible! This report must be propaganda. Fake news, as it were.

CIBC economist Nick Exarhos pointed out that while overall shipments of forestry products were up a healthy 4.7 per cent, that was before the U.S. Commerce Department imposed duties on Canadian softwood products ranging from three to 24 per cent.

Apparently not since it's still happening here and Australia.

Lower oil prices are partly keeping the dollar down and exports are up because of it which benefits manufacturing.

But that's fine, it's not really happening to you so it's all gravy and we can keep those oil prices down without building pipelines. :)

The Australian dollar is sooo high that it's causig inflation?... Who knew it?

PS - when you inform the Aussie gvt about this, please be gentle as it will come as a huge surprise

You're attempting to apply some logic to Flossy's ideo-tard logic.

Any government can grow the economy on debt. The trick is to sustain that growth.

Not rocket science.... Business friendly enviro that attracts foreign direct investment.

Start with lowering the corp and personal taxes and easing the restrictions on development (relative to the jurisdictions you compete with)... De-complicate the regulatory enviro and you'll have billions beating a path to your door.

Mentalflush comes off as an over enthusiastic airhead as far as pertains to hisher outlook on the global economic disaster now well underway. Hisher completely misses the global war now being conducted on multiple fronts as the only actively performing sector in the enconomy apart from corporate theft and looting.

There will be no economic recovery for at least two decades, and that's a very positive forecast, first Empires will fall, crops will fail, millions will starve, millions more will die in the war, frost will take many of the rest.

There is a huge potential for some compounding effect taking place in Ontario in the next 5 years.

Even autoparts are coming from China by the boatload.

ON is going to have no choice but start blasting holes into the rock and smelting the extracted ore.

Some say that is horrific for the environment.

Morneau, Bill (CAN), Minister of Finance First time participant in 2016. I said last year that the Canadian economy was tanking. I am surprised that the US and Canadian economies have not crashed yet. If you look at Shadow Stats to see the real inflation rate, the US economy is contracting at about 4% a year. That is not good.
