Unfortunately, our manufacturing and farmers continue to suffer under TPP (it was a bad deal), but for me I can accept that aside because of pharmaceuticals. Under TPP, brand-name drugs are protected (somewhat); I have a stipulation in my files that I do not take generic drugs, and this is especially due to the garbage we get under 'generic'. If our government is required to pay more for pharmaceuticals, then so be it, how dare they flood the market with garbage drugs that don't work or have killed people. If they can afford to throw money out the door by the millions, then they can at least afford to buy proper drugs for Canadians. I can assure you that the people at the top making decisions, do not buy generic drugs.

Hey, these deals are required to mitigate the looming impact of climate change.

You owe it to yourself to brush up on the 'climate' issues of these deals......

Rarely has an issue caused such outrage: Protesters have turned out across Germany to demonstrate against the TTIP and CETA trade deals with the US and Canada. They say they won't stop until both are scrapped.

"I have nothing against the Americans, but I don't think they should be able to tell us what to do," she said, explaining her decision to join the mass protest against Europe's controversial trade deals with the US and Canada, TTIP and CETA.

Opposition to the two trade deals has been growing steadily in Germany. A poll conducted in May 2016 by the public broadcaster ARD showed that 70 percent of Germans thought TTIP - the proposed deal between Europe and the US - would bring "more disadvantages" than advantages.

"You cannot transfer power to unelected companies like this," said 51-year-old Ralf Grossmann, who described himself only as an employee. "We elect politicians. Not companies.
