American values? I'm not a leftist but I do recognise when bad things happen. Was America's values responsible
for the four or 5 million civilians killed by American bombs in Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, and Korea? I'm sure everyone
has seen the naked little girl running along the road after her clothes had been burned or blown off her. One of the
worst things about that picture was the seemingly,uncaring American soldiers walking along the same road without
offering help. Someone is going to have to explain "American values" to me.

America has become a conservative mecca made of plastic and profit
with little substance except make as much as you can at the expense
of as many as you can. They believe they are the center of the universe
and we know that is not true, Toronto is.
Look at the news they put out every night. Its entertainment it is not news.
Look at the conservatives shouting to get rid of Medicare and social programs.
Imagine in today's world, wanting to get rid of something that assists everyone.
America wants to go back to a simpler time that never did exist, May berry was
a TV show folks, life never was like that.
Good God the more I look at what I wrote I realize they are the same values
that Harper wants to impose on us in Canada.
In short there are no American Values they disappeared with Enron remember
those tapes.
We don't need American Values, European values, Chinese Values or Muslim
Values. We don't need liberal or conservative values either. We need people
to take personal responsibility for their actions and live up to their own moral
and personal values because in fact they are the only real values that exist.

I make a distinction between America (government and military) and the American people, who are not much more than a slave labour force for financing their government and military/industrial complex. I don't think Canada and Canadians are a heck of a lot different.
