Considering that the incidences of Clerical child molestation is no higher in the priesthood than any where else, I still have to ask what is your preoccupation with priests. Why not teachers, or coaches, or scout leaders?
Because they don't have an international organization with its own pet nation-state to aid, abet, and conceal their molesters.

But I'm just as happy to condemn molester teachers, coaches, scout leaders, and non-Catholic clergy. As are you. You only want to give priests a pass.

And you still haven't answered the daquiri question.

We hope the cult of shooting your molester is growing.

Ya, because making yourself a murderer is definitely the right thing to do.

I am glad and grateful that nobody ever "bothered" me. It almost sounds as if I'm in the minority. I can imagine, though, that it would be hard to let go of the hate/loathing.

Actually, no, you aren't. The numbers range around the 20% mark for child sexual abuse in North America. With the vast majority of those abuses being perpetrated by family members or known friends.

I am relieved to hear that.

I actually know someone who was molested, killed his molestor (he was a teenager at the time) and went to prison for it.

He is "tightly wound".

I would say that that is "proof" that killing your abuser doesn't make things "all better".

"Child rape occurs every two minutes
1 in 3 girls will be sexually molested before the age 17
1 in 6 boys will be sexually molested before the age 17 (1 in 5 in Canada)
A sex offender will molest an average of 120 victims, most of whom do not report it
90% of molesters abuse children they know
Oftentimes, a sexually abused child is abused in other ways
Overall U.S. child abuse statistics:

Every 10 seconds a child is abused or raped
3.3 million child abuse reports in 2010
For every report 2 more go unreported = many millions abused annually
61,000 reports to Child Protective services per week = 6 per minute
Of 1.5 million runaways 85% are fleeing some form of abuse
Only 10% of abusers do not know their abuser well
Abuse victims = about 48% male, 52% female
Every race and religion sees child abuse"
Child Abuse Statistics & Info

..and they say child abuse is often a learned behavior often commited by those who have been themselves abused
"Results Among 747 males the risk of being a perpetrator was positively correlated with reported sexual abuse victim experiences. The overall rate of having been a victim was 35% for perpetrators and 11% for non-perpetrators. Of the 96 females, 43% had been victims but only one was a perpetrator. A high percentage of male subjects abused in childhood by a female relative became perpetrators. Having been a victim was a strong predictor of becoming a perpetrator, as was an index of parental loss in childhood."

I agree with Fry, and Walter, completely. Dwelling on it well into Adulthood does nothing aside from allow yourself to be "victimized" over and over again. To put it bluntly, grow a set and get over it. You're not doing yourself any favours by playing the victim your whole life.

Yes a lot of wimps can't shake being sexually abused when they were kids.

When Calgary Flames hockey star Sheldon Kennedy meets Jana, a beautiful model, he falls in love… or tries to. In fear of losing her, Sheldon finally confesses the secret that he has been hiding for years – that he suffered years of sexual abuse by his junior hockey coach, Graham James. It is only with Jana’s love and support that Sheldon is able to confront his past and begin to heal.

By going public with the truth, Sheldon stunned the hockey community and his story reverberated around the world. Sheldon’s courageous revelation changed public perception of abuse and forced the hockey world to reexamine its practices, protecting today’s children in a way Sheldon never was.

Would priests not be held to a higher standard idiot?

I agree with about 2/3 of what he says. I don't think we should censor everything to spare peoples feelings, but I think the grow up comment is pretty short sighted.
