Facts don't matter to NIMBYS. Getting TV time does.
Wonder if they asked the opinion of the people whose jobs they are taking away?

It's only half a million jobs opening up in the next 10 years. Canada doesn't need another half a million good paying jobs.

PS if you're heading up to Kittymat be prepared to be working with TFWs

The only TFW on our project are senior managers and engineers. Most from the US and some from Europe. Not sure on the LNG projects as they are non union.

Maybe mentalfloss can contact that CBC political 'reporter' that wrote the environmental piece and ask her.

I am just so excited that South Portland has become completely independent of fossil fuels.

Right?

Toilet paper would be a lot cheaper if the chips were shipped by pipeline from up in Merrit.

They only have to go to New Westminster to the plant. 3hr truck ride. Most of the chips from Merrit(misnomer if ever there was one) go to Domtar by truck or truck to Vancouver and barge to Powell River for paper.

During World War II, he joined the United States Marine Corps, at the age of 16, by lying about his age. Adams participated in the Battle of Guadalcanal in the Pacific Theater of Operations. His combat service was short-lived; he was shot and contracted blackwater fever, a serious complication of malaria, known for a 90% rate of fatality. He was evacuated and then hospitalized for more than a year at a Navy hospital in Wellington, New Zealand.[1][5][6] After his recovery, he served as a Marine drill instructor in the United States.

I saw an episode with him on the TCM Carson interview specials and thought I'd read up on his past and what not. He sounded like he had toughed-out a few things.

Didn't mean to derail the ol' bitumen thingie.

Its okay, they can block something that was going to be piped in the first place all they want so it's dead in the water anyway, the Don Adam information was a better read than the nonsensically OP.
