So you think it's not about the oil?

Did the Coalition of the Willing invade Iraq to steal oil?

RE: So you think it's not

I'm not sure if it's worse that they are doing it, or that they really don't seem to care if everybody knows they are doing it. What a bunch of arrogant pricks.

You seem to demonstrate no instinct for curiosity.

The essential component of curiosity is to doubt anything that is convenient to your beliefs.

For all the American investment in oil infrastructure, you gotta be out of your mind if you believe the new Iraqi government is going to give that oil revenue away.

You think America is going to recoup any investment there?

Yeah.

Right.

Smugness seems to have a home in Canada.

I love political cartoons even if I don't agree.

There's a beauty in the succinct arrow.

But...

In every enduring lie, there is truth to give the lie more life.

Most of you are as susceptible to the herd instinct of following the herd as you accused Americans of doing.

I'll bet you could find 200 Canadians with links to the bin Laden family of 59 brothers.

I'll bet you can find 2000 peace protesters in Europe who had no idea that the big business in their countries wanted Saddam in power so they could recoup their investment and still to this day don't even know how immoral it is of their own countries not to forgive Iraq ALL the debts created by their fearless former Nebachadnezzer Saint.

The debt was reduced. How kind. But the remaining debt must be paid.

But these points never make the Nielsen ratings.

That should tell you something about mob majorities.

I suspect your real problem isn't that we followed the herd, Jim, but that we've continued to reject the position of your president and his cabinet and have been shown, time after time, to have been correct in doing so.

There were no WMD. Now there is no evidence that those weapons were sent to Syria.

There was no connection between Saddam Hussein and 9-11.

There was no connection between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.

The invasion was illegal.

The use of napalm is illegal.

The use of depleted uranium is illegal.

The detention of prisoners not classed as POWs is illegal.

The torture of prisoners is illegal.

The refusal to guard against looting of hospitals and national treasures was illegal.

You live in a rogue nation, Jim. Your president is a war criminal. So are his cabinet. You can whine that we're all sheep and aren't helping you out enough, but the truth is that we aren't criminals and have no wish to take part in criminal activities.

What Reverend Blair fails to mention is that there are 2 books on morality.

One rightly holds America accountable.

But when you keep two separate books in accounting it is quite a suspect practice.

Applaud your selves.

Europe promised it would not allow genocide and yet it stood mute watching it in their own backyard of Yugoslavia. Ethnic cleansing they called it.

That war started in 1991. Eight years of doing nothing about it.

What morality is that?

What morality lies in all of your excuses to watch Iraq twist in the wind?

It appears we have both mantras to live by.

Let us not forget that Europe is more different now than it was in 91. Now that crap happened before the EU was actually consolidated into an entity. That's like saying in 1883 Canada is no different than it was in 1860. There's usually a difference in a country before and after it's confederation.

RE: So you think it's not

More than that, Jo...let us not forget that a lot of people have been standing up in outrage to the European powers for a very long time. Sometimes they even listen.

The Bush regime, and "men" like Jimmy here, prefer water canon and rubber bullets to listening though.
