J'accuse! Refusal to expand Medicaid is a crime against humanity.
J'accuse! Refusal to expand Medicaid is a crime against humanity.
A
Harvard-SUNY study published in January 2014 demonstrates that in those states that refuse to expand Medicaid
1) From 7115 to 17104 will
die unnecessarily each year.
2) More than 700,000 cases of depression will go untreated.
3) Nearly 425,000 cases if diabetes will go untreated.
4) More than 195,000 will go without mammograms, and nearly 425,000 will forego PAP smears.
5) Over 240,000 people will incur catastrophic medical expenditures.
The politicians I accuse are persecuting the poor and weak in their states (an identifiable group with incomes below the poverty level) for political ends and in accordance with their political ideology.
These politicians are knowingly condemning thousands to death. That is systematic
mass murder of the poor.
According to the study, these politicians are intentionally "causing great suffering or serious bodily or mental injury" to the poor.
Hey Eagle - on the contrary, it is those of you who applaud death that are the zealots.
By the way, the ACA forbids discrimination against transgenders:
http://transequality.org/Resources/HealthCareRight_March2012_FINAL.pdf
Under the Affordable Care Act, it is illegal for any
health program or organization that is funded or administered by the federal government to discriminate against you because you are transgender, or because you are perceived as not conforming to gender stereotypes.
Therefore, blame the patient's state, not Obamacare.
