What we need to be doing is ending the left-wing bias at the BBC, a corporation which is supposed to be impartial but clearly isn't over many issues.

Geesh, where have I hear that before - um oh yeah, the CBC! They've become a political arm of the Liberals here in Canada so, for me, it's no surprise the BBC is of the same ilk.

Sadly, most of our once-great institutions are being taken over by cabals of Lefties, being reduced to mere shadows of their former selves.

What happened to the old Empah? Used to be a time when the Fuzzy Wussies would scatter on the first shot! No backbone, anymore!

So the BBC's 35,402 staff have studied the intricate workings of the EU and are all experts in how it works and they all know more about the EDU than the average man in the street?
So, your contention is that an organization can't have expertise unless every single member of that organization has that expertise?

You're so cute!

Sadly, the Empire is no more. The British Empire was a noble cause and its ethos should be preserved.

The fact that Al-Bibisyah believes Britain's future lies in an undemocratic, job-destroying, economically-sclerotic, corrupt, bureaucratic superstate which carries out technocratic coups, holds ordinary people in contempt, has a racist immigration policy, smears Eastern Europe, helped destabilise Ukraine and keeps Africa impoverished is proof, if any were needed, that the BBC is ignorant about the EU and its workings rather than an expert on them.

The Opium Wars are particularly memorable ....

Yep. The Chinks were to blame and we won them both, thankfully.

Oh, and the concentration camps built to contain the Boers.
What about them? Those "concentration camps" were not much different from the ones the Spanish used against the Cubans at around the same time or those used by the Americans against the Filipinos, also at around the same time.

It's pretty ludicrous to be singling out the glorious British Empire in this regard.

Yeah. True enough. It was just another Thugocracy, after all.

Any First Nations people on here want to weigh in on that one?

Yeah. Let them weigh in on it. The fact is that the only reason they now enjoy living in Canada and its standard of living is because of the British Empire.

Had the British stayed away the land that would never have become Canada would instead be populated by brown-skinned primitives living in tents and chucking spears at wild animals and each other.

Maybe, Britain is a rich nation because they successfully looted places like Canada.
