Kakato... the ways that we could all highjack every thread with negative aspects of the people in them are countless... Just about any thread on Canada could be highjacked with seal clubbing, first nations squashing, or environment killing arguments. Just about any thread about the US could be routinely highjacked with death penalty debate, anti-war rhetoric, or rants about capitalism.

The fact of the matter is, this thread is about Ramadan, and yes, you can spin some weak reason to bring up the darker aspects of Islam, but it's just an excuse to take an easy shot and you know it.

This thread is about Ramadan, let it be that.

As seal clubbing is a hunting method I would respond to it,as far as natives wrecking the environment I could also respond to that as one of their ways of life is only take what you need.

So Sharia law advocates stoning and it's all part of the Muslim faith so why cant it be discussed when the opening post stresses forgiveness?

I am a Muslim Turk ,so what i will say is not have to do with Sharia made of Arabian customs and so-called interpretation of Quran.

Islam has socialist and humanist approaches towards all people no matter who they are.
Muslims ,who believe in God of Islam should be not selfish to save the religion only for themselves like Jews -should enlighten non-belivers so, being obliged to be tolerant and kind towards others, Muslims have no chance to consider others as slave or any other.

and no stonning of course- i don't wanna seem to be racial but as Eannassir mentioned (even if not directly), customs and views of some Muslim countries have affected their way of adopting the Islam.

Quran needs to be read and interpreted by non-prejudiced and open-mindeds free of any customs and imposition.

I work with lots of Somalian Muslims,not to generalize but not one will listen to any of the gal's I work with,I tell these gals to make supervisor in a month and then they can fire them for insubordination and discrimination.

Seems to be the norm lately,I dont know how most of these people immigrated here with their views on equality of men and woman.
Keep that **** at home if you want to move to Canada,too bad they cant be deported.

Tell me nice things about it, don't talk about how one tribe believes and worships wrong.

If you believe in Allah, then I believe you believe in Allah. I honour that.

If I don't believe in Allah, but I believe that the Deer and the brook speaks to me, and the Mother guides my paths, believe I believe in her, and honour that.

I have no love for Islam, nor Christianity, nor Judaism, when it comes at the end of a sword, or an even sharper word.
