SICK yobs beheaded 18 birds, speared a frog and poisoned fish in a sickening act of cruelty.

Heartless vandals broke into an aviary at a park smashing 130 windows before attacking the birds and throwing their carcasses around.

They then filled a pond with fertiliser, killing several carp at Wythenshawe Park, Manchester.

Cops said that more than £10,000 of damage had been caused and trees had been chopped down during the incident.

PC Terina Wild, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "The level of vandalism and cruelty shown by the offenders is shocking and distressing.

"This is an extremely serious offence and I would ask the community to help me identify the culprits.

"Did someone you know come home with filthy clothing or were they acting strangely?

"If you know who is responsible, but didn't get involved at the time, please come forward."

Cruel ... yobs' sickening attack

She added: "This is an appalling crime which has affected a community facility and the offenders need to be brought to justice."

Councillor Mike Amesbury, Manchester City Council's executive member for culture and leisure, said: "This is a sickening act of cruelty and vandalism, causing significant damage to a centre which has been enjoyed by generations of people.

"I know that everything possible is being done to catch those responsible for this appalling crime and bring them to justice."

Cops are appealing for information after the incident which happened between 4.30pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday.

Yes, let's give adults who've killed actual people, access to rehabilitation, but we'll lynch kids who might still be helped, for some vandalism and killing some birds. makes tons of sense.

Oh there you go bringing common sense into this. I was just digging out my torch for garsh sake.

Killing animals is the first step in the evolution of becoming a serial killer.

No, being born is the first step. And after killing animals, there are a lot more steps. Taking one little pop psychology fact and running with it, anticipatorily calling for people's deaths, is ridiculous.

Really though, I never hear anyone saying we should kill children of divorced parents, or intelligent children, or bed wetters, or bullied children...all are common characteristics as well. The animal killers get all the attention...

No it isn't ridiculous, the perpetrators of this crime deserve death unequivocally... I'm extremely intolerant towards acts of brutal torture and death towards animals and uncaring acts of callousness towards nature.
Anyone who could commit this crime has irreparable brain damage and the only solution is death.

And you're better how? If there's a history, you may have the start of a point. More likely it's the product of jealousy combined with a complete lack of respect for private property - found in adults too.

I'm better because I don't commit crimes against nature, **** I don't even litter!

I know this is a hard concept to grasp, but I actually *GASP* respect the Earth!

Actually I'm probably exaggerating, as if I would be ever in a place of power I wouldn't ever sentence anyone to death. I'm just a little riled up over this entire situation, it pisses me off that these punks did this and the lack of respect for nature that humanity shows.
