A Mouse Once Bit My Sister
Why would we want to bring people over here in large numbers who don't agree with our laws?

Makes for an extremely interesting discussion, does it not?

Whether pedophilia is widespread within the RC church or not, the thread is about people entering Canada and being able to practice their religion of choice. Pedophilia is not sanctioned by the RC church. It is not part of RC doctrine.

You're as bad as Nassir and some others. Learn to stay focused.

Pedophilia has been well documented in the education system, medical system and most other religions (let alone atheists, agnostics, etc) - pretty much anywhere you'd care to really look.... So, where's your outrage and demands that these institutions be banned?

It's not about pedophilia or institutions. The thread is about people entering Canada and whether or not they should be allowed to freely practice their religion. Railing against pedophilia, or any institutions that support it, is a different subject.

It was a response to CC wandering off topic. And actually, he brought it up, not me. #29

Does free religion mean the girls can wear "le voile" in town?
In this case I disagree with free religion.

I say the voile because I can't find the word in English.

It's called a Hijab, and yes, why wouldn't they? They can wear a Niqab also, if they are so inclined.

This does not show that "pedophilia" or "child sexual abuse" is any more "rampant" than any other section of society. As a matter of fact, it has pretty much been proven that it is no more prevalent in the Church than in the general population. As a matter of fact, there are some studies that show a far higher incident among teachers in the U.S. than any where else.

The incidence rate in The Church should be zero.

The difference between Catholicism and Islam is that a fiddling Imam could be stoned to death but a fiddling Priest is made into a flipping Bishop.

This thread is about whether to allow religions that do not conform with Canadian values among us.
Does the Roman Catholic church fit that criterion in light of their history?

by the way, Gerry Atrik, your Alt-Reich buddies who started the thread in the first place would happily burn a cross on a Catholic front lawn, as per their old KKK tradition.

No.It is about religion, Canadian values and religions that do not comply. You just have trouble hearing it.

Actually, I started this thread, but I'm a very different kind of white nationalist. I'm the first one who voted yes in the poll so far, but I'm not the kind to burn crosses on front lawns. I like to try to present the better side of my European heritage.

This thread asked the question,

"Should all who enter Canada enjoy freedom of religion?"

I realize it can be hard for you to stay on track, CC, but pedophiles, or specifically, priests who do this have nothing to do with the question.

One, ALt-right would not be my "buddies". Second, how does the Catholic Church not comply with Canadian law? How does the Christian Faith not comply with Canadian law? How do the majority of adherents to Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, etc not comply with Canadian law?

It should be taken away from the murdering Catholics, eh Murphy?

They all do. They all have the right. The point is that every religion is so seriously tainted by their history that none of them qualify or all of them do.

The whole premise of this thread is total rubbish.

For your statement to be truly accurate, it should read "Human race" instead of religion.

Maybe, we should have a poll substituting "Human Race" for "Religion" ...

If you look over on another thread, the Neo-Nazis on here are having an anti-Jewish festival, right now.
Maybe, It's time to give another, less flawed species a crack at it.

As long as you keep your saintly fervour inside whatever house you feel more comfortable in, and don't assault my existence with offensive sh#t, I'm good.

All... or none

That's the only way
No, it's not the only way.
Many democratic countries ban some religions or put restrictions on how certain religions are practiced.
France for instance puts control on the type of religious dress attire you can wear in public.

Other countries that have a religion where you are expected to walk around nude is also banned.

Children in Church.

A Sunday school teacher asked her class, "What was Jesus' mother's name?" One child answered, "Mary."
The teacher then asked, "Who knows what Jesus' father's name was?" A little kid said, "Verge."
Confused, the teacher asked, "Where did you get that?"
The kid said, "Well, you know, they are always talking about Verge n' Mary.''

***********
KIDS IN CHURCH
3-year-old Reese:
"Our Father, Who does art in heaven, Harold is His name.
Amen."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A little boy was overheard praying: "Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the christening of his baby brother in church, Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car. His father asked him three times what was wrong. Finally, the boy replied, "That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home, and I wanted to stay with you."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had been teaching my three-year old daughter, Caitlin, the Lord's Prayer for several evenings at bedtime. She would repeat after me the lines from the prayer. Finally, she decided to go solo. I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word, right up to the end of the prayer: "Lead us not into temptation," she prayed, "but deliver us from E-mail.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One particular four-year-old prayed, "And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Sunday school teacher asked her children as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?" One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Six-year-old Angie and her four-year-old brother, Joel, were sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang, and talked out loud. Finally, his big sister had had enough.
"You're not supposed to talk out loud in church."
"Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked.
Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door?
They're hushers."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. "If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.'
Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, "Ryan, you be Jesus!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A father was at the beach with his children when the four-year-old son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore where a seagull lay dead in the sand.
"Daddy, what happened to him?" the son asked.
"He died and went to Heaven," the Dad replied.
The boy thought a moment and then said, "Did God throw him back down?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A wife invited some people to dinner. At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said, "Would you like to say the blessing?"
"I wouldn't know what to say," the girl replied.
"Just say what you hear Mummy say," the wife answered.
The daughter bowed her head and said, "Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?"
