I wouldn't go so far as to call ES a putz but it's quite clear what's wrong with him. He stuck. Either he says that the Pats aren't cheaters or they are. If he says they aren't then he looks stupid given that everybody knows they are (they've even been sanctioned once by the NFL for cheating). If he says they are, then he clearly lacks integrity by supporting dishonesty. He's in a no-win situation and that is why he needs to deflect from the question posed to him. I'm betting on a lack of integrity.
