A well intentioned returning officer, Elections Canada's words, organized a sanctioned, but not authorized advanced poll, again, Elections Canada's words.

Ok maybe it's that you're preexisitng condition precludes you from reading the prefix pre before the word authorization in the article that I have pointed out a few times in this thread.

Lack of pre-authorization doesn't equate to no authorization.

You seem to be sure that some Conservative idiot tried to grab a ballot box, on somebody's mere word.

A number of people have said it happened, some claiming to be non partisan. There has been no word from anyone refuting that claim. So it's seems likely to be true. Otherwise there would be a counter claim to the story rather than Harper stating that the Conservatives accept the Elections Canada ruling on the matter.

Elections Canada can not say what rules can apply where. The rules are set so as to keep incidents like this from happening. The fact that it happened, only strengthens the necessity for those rules.

They can, the always have and they just did. All parties involved in the dispute have agreed to it. So I have to say that you are incorrect sir.

I know the thought of it is hysterically funny.

If the returning officer is bending rules, the station littered with Conservative campaign material, they absolutely should do something about it. Like video tape it. To record the violations, for further investigation. I won't condone attempting to grab a ballot box.

If I understand it correctly he was inside the University Centre taking video of the voters as they were going to vote. All party posters were at the time, posted 200 meters outside the University Centre. Once the Elections official returned with new rules stating the whole campus was to be free of all campaign materials, they were removed.

And I stand by my opinion, that those ballots should be void.

That's cool bro.

You...

You got it you big ol' softey! lol

You're right. Regardless, if it was pre authorized and run better, within the general rules of Elections Canada, maybe it wouldn't have been such a clusterf!ck.

I guess the video didn't show campaign material in a polling station?

You mean, just conceding to Elections Canada, so that the Conservatives involved won't face sanctions, was because the whole thing was legit?

Quite.
