Ahh, Saskatoon, this seems like the perfect place
There are 2 public schools and a library a block away. The public pool is right around the corner. What a beautiful residential neighbourhood. Let's put a Needle Exhange there. If we do it quick the businesses and home-owners won't organize fast enough.
After a year of watching crime rates rise, more and more needles handed out, dealers providing their junk using the freebies, and of being ignored by anything remotely resembling 'Officialdom', the inevitable push-back begins:

From a reader,
"Caswell Community Association had Aids Saskatoon and Saskatoon Health come to their community meeting this past tuesday to do a 15min talk on Aids saskatoon needle exchange and Outreach 601. (located in Caswell Hill boundries) Residents of Mayfair were told not to come as they were not residents of Caswell. Some of the Caswell residents were told it was cancelled. I showed up. I have biz in Caswell and a house in Mayfair. There were approx 6 reps of Aids Saskatoon, a couple board members, and one other resident that I knew who was told not to come, but he did. He is very neutral. Aids Saskatoon did their talk, no questions or discussion was allowed."
and so...
We are holding a open forum meeting at the Mayfair Library on 33rd. The meeting will be on the 21st of June. 630pm. We will be dicussing ``Harm Reduction`` and their Stats, which includes Needle Exchange, Outreaches. We have invited Government officials, Police (who were very pleased and offered their assistance), MLA, City Councilors Mayfair/Caswell.and of course the residents of Mayfair and Caswell who had no idea a Needle Exchange was down the street. 2 public school, library, Mayfair pool less then a block away.
Push, people, push hard. Those in favour of condoning junkies to death or worse will be there fighting for their entitlements as hard as they can.small dead animals: Ahh, Saskatoon, this seems like the perfect place
