World War One started with an assassination of Duke Ferdinand and the Alliances
kicked in due to hysterical reaction.
No one should take this lightly
For the number that died it is no joke. How did both sides decide standing near the far- range of artillery shells was the way to fight a war once each side had more than 1 machine gun? Gas was first use in WWI (I hope but certainly it reached a climax in that it was banned from then on) The development kept going on, the use not so much until Agent Orange was used.

That was the shot that was heard around the world so there had to be some background to why things were so tense. One death would seem to make it a false flag event if it was to happen today. Even the fans of a hunted man don't go off the deep-end anymore, back then nobody would have gotten the information that is available to us so lies would have been relatively easy to pass onto Joe Voter

You understood didn't you? If I'da said born TO I'da been talking about his mother - besides, I was typing fast. Coffee was ready....;-)
The style caught my eye before the content of the message. I kind of liked it, although more than a few times might get to be somewhat annoying. Let's leave it at that, she should have had an RIDF chip on him to see where he was hanging out, put a bark collar on him and zap him from home if she heard something she didn't approve of. What if his mother was the psycho one, I'm sure there is a movie or two out where that was an influence. Carrie in boys shoes as he was actually a bit 'delicate looking' when standing beside a large man.

The US left.

After 10 years but not all. The Russians are using the same playbook as the American military when they go into countries and go for a regime change instead of an occupying force. The question is that if the allied forces with America in the lead will have to deal with an escalation to a nuclear level and one has to look at Ukraine to see if it is worth it. In this case it's better to come to an agreement or just let the Ukrainians either fight it out or hammer out a peace agreement. Civil war would benefit both Russians and Americans in weapons sales The only solution is that Ukraine has to set up a coalition government with the old and the new governments in power until they can set an election date.

This event is no joke. Russia is a nuclear power. The majority in the Crimea have welcomed the Russians with open arms, and that is bound to make other countries with large Russian populations very nervous of their own Russian-speaking citizens, possibly promoting ethnic tensions there. And once it becomes ethnic, watch out! Russia would likely feel an obligation to protect its ethnic Russian brethren in neighbouring countries, and then what? Dominos.

Some kind of de-secalation is needed and fast.

I agree. But I have a bad feeling about this.

Kruschev made it a part of Ukraine in the 1950's.

Damn right. Question is, will we keep bickering about petty right and left issues or will our politicians be able to work together to de-escalate this. We're not talking iraq or Afghanistan with AK47s here, but one of the world's major nuclear powers. We can't afford conflict, yet we also can't afford to ignore international law either. So we have to intervene, but then we need people who know diplomacy. This deos not look good in the least.

I guess it really all depends on Russia whether they want to deescalate this or not. The Ukraine knows it cannot win a shooting war. I always had a bad feeling of letting former Soviet Bloc countries into NATO and I am pretty glad the Ukraine was rejected membership. We've (the US) been hanging around on Russia's back porch for too long.

Like a false flag?
Who owned the leader before the recently fled one? Her resume seems to be longer than it needs to be, lengthy jail terms tend to do that.

Nobody throw their hat into the ring yet?

I thought Japan was off their back porch, you know, wave at the ones in Alaska that are on their front porch.

First it was the look through a loop you made with your fingers, almost like a scope if you would. Now this one, who is standing off to 'our right'? It seems to have interrupted his train of thought, almost like he forgot that when on a flying broom and going through a doorway it is best to duck even if you don't have to, you know in case you have to.
Let me guess, his nick now is 'Left-turn Clyde.'

Reuters:
Russia's Black Sea Fleet has told Ukrainian forces in Crimea to surrender by 5 a.m. (0300 GMT) on Tuesday or face a military assault, Interfax news agency quoted a source in the Ukrainian Defence Ministry as saying.
(If you Google "current GMT" it will show up in large bold print at the top of the page.)
From Ukraine Live at the Telegraph, which is a good source for updates:
"(Putin) smiled as he walked towards the command centre where he watched tanks, barely visible in thick fog, and listened to artillery fire. It is the first sighting of Putin in several days."
Sky News:
Russia has said China is largely "in agreement" over Ukraine, after other world powers condemned Moscow for sending troops into the country.
Telegraph editorial: It is time for the West to stand up to Putin.

If they have already all surrendered do they also get to swear an oath (like the local Police have done)and then return to duty? (under a new Commander) by the time the official time is up. Be a good time to get your internal spies into place because the terrorists will be coming to the area to show that life under Russia is a hardship. Little airbrushing and done.

Where are they now?
There is probably a list of the campaign promises, compare that to the present.

Oh, and...

Take That Putin! Obama Won’t Send U.S. Delegation To Paralympic Games In Russia…

This is embarrassing.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says the United States has decided not to send a presidential delegation to the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

The move is in retaliation for Russia’s military advances in Ukraine.

White House spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden says President Barack Obama still supports the U.S. athletes participating and wishes them success.

The U.S. and its allies are weighing sanctions and other potential consequences to persuade Russia to reverse course in Ukraine. Britain has also decided not to send ministers to the Paralympic Games, which start Friday.

“Today we were advised of the decision to not send a Presidential delegation to the Paralympic Games,” U.S. Olympic Committee spokesman Patrick Sandusky said in a statement. “As a sports organization, we will continue to fully support the amazing men and women that comprise Team USA at the Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, and we encourage all Americans to support our athletes by watching them compete on NBC, NBCSN and on TeamUSA.org.”

The Ukraine will have some extra (recent additions) people to send by that time while Crimea will have painted everything olive green and no stickers.

Best of luck to the athletes. All politicians can run is elections anyhow....
Not to appear insensitive but if I was there and came in last my new career would be heavy drinking.
