Why should there be? I don't remember Merkel talking about and apologising for the Blitz when she visited London in January last year.

Just more self-righteous rubbish from a left wing newspaper which has so little readers it went out of print earlier this year and is now solely online.

If anything, William and Catherine should maybe take the Indians to task for the number of rapes committed in the country each year.

I used to share an office with a Prussian engineer from Berlin (Dad was a Major in the SS) who would go on and on about how the British had started both wars. That generation is largely gone, now but millions believed that clap-trap and no doubt passed it on to their grandchildren.

Codswallop. The Bengal famine was caused by a crop failure and the Jap invasion of Burma during the war.

To say the Bengal famine was caused by the British feeding their troops in India is completely ludicrous. The British troops ate only a fraction of the food the millons of Bengalis needed.

Britain actually shipped hundreds of thousands of tons of grain to India to replace the deficiency.

“The Prime Minister said that it was clear that His Majesty’s Government could only provide further relief for the Indian situation at the cost of incurring grave difficulties in other directions….At the same time his sympathy was great for the sufferings of the people of India.”

No Dresden is a case of revenge for Coventry that was bombed for no reason
So the British came calling on Dresden
As for the others most nights there were bombing raids on Germany yes and
before that the Germans bombed London and other cities until they lost control
of the sky.
The German Propaganda Minister gave a major speech which we have seen on
TV many times in which he called for Total War that term means anything goes.
Today the term is Scorched Earth different weapons now.
Once he have that speech all hell broke loose and the Germans got what was coming
brute force and head on war. No sorry necessary and the victors write history sounds
alright to me

Now back to whatever this crappola has to do with members of the royal family being invited to visit and being feted by their hosts.

she went to a religious shrine and performed due diligence by covering her head and uncovering her toes ~ she showed a good deal of class and proper respects so let's credit her for that
