I cant wait for pot to be legal. After Trudeau screws up the entire Country I can at least get stoned without fear of being arrested. The pot will be free, right? I mean, I probably won't have a job and will need free pot.
IF he goes full legalization, you can just grow your own. A simple initial investment of about $150-$200 and you can be on your way to nearly free weed for life. I say nearly free because ya still gots to pay for the hydro.

we are food producers, but like the idea of growing weed for medicinal purposes.

No, I'm not dreaming. I'm not talking about a f*cking farming operation there bud. I'm talking about the average person being permitted to grow a few plants for personal consumption. So yeah, $150-$200 bucks easy

Nope. Not at all. It's not like you need hydroponics to grow the stuff indoors. All you need is a good full spectrum light, some aluminum foil, soil, plant pots, fertilizer and seeds. And a cure for spider mites. I'm not talking about growing mass quantities, I'm talking about growing up to half a dozen plants. 6 female plants will easily provide a steady supply for personal use, unless you're a major chronic.

High tech? Maybe for commercial size yields like you were thinking where it'd be way too labour intensive to do it otherwise, but for small personal use size yields you can grow some kick *** wheelchair weed with the right fertilizer, good soil, and some TLC.
When I think of legal to grow for personal use, I'm thinking more along the lines of 5-6 female plants. If you're outpacing that supply just in personal use, it may be time to seek help.

Australia's Health Minister sees this subject differently........

Health Minister Sussan Ley said the Government wants to give people suffering from debilitating illnesses access to the most effective medical treatments.

She said she had been moved by stories of people who got some relief from medicinal cannabis, sometimes legally imported but not always.

"I have heard stories of patients who have resorted to illegal methods of obtaining cannabis and I have felt for them, because with a terminal condition, the most important thing is quality of life and relief of pain," she told AM.

"And we know that many people are calling out for medicinal cannabis.

"It is important therefore that we recognise those calls for help, that we put in place what we know will support a safe, legal and sustainable supply of a product."

The Government intends to amend the Narcotic Drugs Act to allow cannabis to be grown for medicine or science and ensure that Australia is not in breach of international drug treaties.

That's like asking, "How long is a piece of string?" It all depends on the strain, growing conditions, lighting, air flow, growing space, plant pot size, super cropping, etc.
An experienced grower can produce 1 gram of usable weed/watt of light used.
For example, you'll get much higher yields growing 4 plants under a single 400 watt light then if you grow 16 plants under a single 400 watt light.
Beginner growers with no horticultural experience of any kind may find themselves lucky to yield one ounce of usable material from a single plant. However with all the conditions being right and without resorting to expensive hydroponic systems, a more experienced grower can yield anywhere from 5 to 14 ounces per plant. If you know how to super crop, you can almost double your yields.

There are long lists of reasons why pot should not be legalized. Only a couple of reasons why it should.
It's just one more step toward decadence.
There are plenty of other pain killers available; pot is not needed for that.
Taxing it won't bring in that much government revenue. Like cigarettes, the high taxes will simply let the black markets lower their prices and flourish.
I guess Trudeau would like to be able to get stoned legally for a change. Think how effective a negotiator he will be on the world stage when he's in a drug induced fog! What an *** he is!

So what are the other decadent activities would you like stopped?

As for other 'painkillers' there is more to pots effects than simply killing pain.

The black market is flourishing now with drugs being a billion dollar a year biz. If they price/tax it right it will cramp the Black market and force them to lower their prices resulting in much lower profits for them.....

Mandy McKnight had tried more than 10 medications to control the seizures of her seven-year-old son, who suffers from Dravet syndrome.

Two years ago, she decided to try medical marijuana. It reduced her son Liam's seizures by 90%, she said.

Liam is off the other medications he took before marijuana, a cocktail of Valproic Acid, Clonazepam and Stiripentol, which comes with a handful of side effects including aggression, anxiety, drooling and loss of appetite, according to McKnight.

While it's now legal for Liam to take his medication in oil form, there's currently no medical marijuana producer in Canada distributing marijuana oil.

For now, McKnight is still making marijuana oil at home, though legally. She makes the oil at home, sends the content to a lab in British Columbia to ensure it's the right dosage of chemicals for Liam.

no licensed producer in Canadan producing oil. Illegal weed stores sell it at crazy high prices.

That just might explain some of his stupid responses when interviewed☻
