To be honest Bear, I hated Miller and Ford is basically the right wing version of him. It's the "my way or the highway attitude that plagued them both. Also, it's not just the left that has a problem with Ford, he's alienated the middle and some on the right. Toronto mayors are buffoons, regardless of their political sway.

But then again, you don't sell out your own principles to fabricate outrage, just because he isn't a Miller clone.
In short, YOU are not an ideologue.
Can't really win with any of them. I believe amalgamating all the Toronto councils was a big mistake. Too large of a city to be represented in the way it is now.
I couldn't agree more. There's nothing like adding an extended dysfunctional family to the already dysfunctional family.
Certainly Ford has not exactly been model mayor material. He certainly has disappointed on some stuff. But attack him for when he does actually do something stupid not for failing to lose weight in a weight loss challenge or for recinding a stupid Miller law. Attacking on issue B when you have an issue with him on issue A loses any credibility you have on issue A.
The Usual Suspect and the rest of the ideologues, don't have any credibility.
I wasn't even speaking about his weight but since you insist. Yeah, he's a fat ****, he chose to make his weight a public spectacle. Boo hoo for him. I would be saying the same thing if there was a 300lb version of David Miller.
The poignancy of the latter, is negated by the silliness of the former.
