I tend to be a Social Conservative, and I absolutely agree that this man is a hypocrite.

I could "forgive" one abortion, when he and his wife were very young, but not two of them. I can NOT condone ANY professional sleeping with any of their clients. NEVER, EVER, there simply is no excuse for this kind of immoral and unethical conduct.

I've never slept with a client. But before you credit me with great professionalism, you should consider that my clients generally tend to closely resemble warthogs.

As we hurtle towards a Republican-driven government shutdown, did you know that:
  • Congress will still be paid.
  • Eight in 10 Americans oppose threatening a shutdown.
  • Congress will still be paid.
  • Forty percent of the 2 million federal workers will be furloughed.
  • Congress will still be paid.
  • Social Security checks and veterans' benefits could be delayed because of fewer workers.
  • Congress will still be paid.
  • All parks, museums and and monuments run by the National Park Service will be closed.
  • Congress will still be paid.
  • Major delays in processing applications for passports, visas, gun permits and mortgages.
  • Congress will still be paid.
And because this is such serious business:

Congress will still be paid.

Oh, well, as long as you need it, I'm sure that makes you very different from all the janitors and secretaries and accountants and Head Start teachers and workplace safety inspectors you voted to furlough without pay.......................

I need my paycheck. That's the bottom line. I understand that there may be some other members who are deferring their paychecks, and I think that's admirable. I'm not in that position."

-- Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC), in an interview with WTVD-TV, on needing to be paid during the government shutdown she supported.

It's easier to have one thread instead of naming them all seperately...

DesJarlais, who portrayed himself during his re-election campaign as a "consistent supporter of pro-life values,"
I have no problem with him saying God has forgiven me and you should too. But I do have a problem with him thinking he should be trusted.

Maybe the most hypocritical are the left wing hypocrites who characterize the right wing as hypocrites! When are people going to get it through their thick heads that hypocrisy is not a respector of politics? They are all tarred with the same brush, lie, steal, cheat, plunder, pillage and pimp!
to a degree you are correct JLM but you are missing the irony here.... see us lefties are labelled as freaking herectics because we don't buy the god crap in the way it is fed to us, we are condemned as being heathens by people such as the one above...

what you need to see here with this irony is how these people have a one up and believe they know what god requires and would like to force it on everyone because they are the righteous and okey dokey with god, while this piece of garbabe thinks he is better than...he is in fact no where close.

DesJarlais, who portrayed himself during his re-election campaign as a "consistent supporter of pro-life values,"

U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais, R-Tenn., says God has "forgiven me" and asked "fellow Christians" and constituents "to consider doing the same."

In a radio interview, the anti-abortion Republican addressed a past that included supporting his ex-wife's two abortions and, as a physician, sleeping with patients, including one he also urged to undergo an abortion.

The freshman 4th District congressman told Nashville conservative talk show host Ralph Bristol on Friday that he doesn't intend to resign and will seek re-election in 2014.

DesJarlais said he believes in "grace and redemption," adding, "I think God gave me a second chance."

"I don't know what the reason is behind that, but I know God's forgiven me. ... I simply ask my fellow Christians and constituents to consider doing the same for me."

"Some people will surely forgive Congressman DesJarlais for having sex with multiple patients and for lying to his constituents about his anti-choice hypocrisy," he said. "But no one will ever forget it."

So he represents every conservative? No more than you can pick one 'left-winger' and then say he represents all 'left-wingers'.

Nah, I don't profess the Christian Faith, so I'm doomed. i was just saying that you can't pretend people of the same ideology are all necessarily the same. There is a whole range on both sides of the spectrum.

In some respects, the whole right-left thing makes no sense.

In some respects????? In no respects. Ideologues on both sides jam their heads into such tight quarters its amazing they have any functioning brain cells. But I guess that is the beauty of having narrow minds: you don't know you do.

there is but this particular individual is a right winged rigid christian thinker, that was the point, people in their rush to defend him seem to keep missing the main point, meh it doesn't matter much anyway...the whole right winged left winged thing makes a lot of sense, what makes no sense is sticking to the end of the continuum just because that's the side you are on even when it is to your detriment or when they are wrong....loyalty "just because" is irrational and makes a person narrow minded and dangerous

Oregon Tea Party founder hasn't paid his mortgage in three years

Since the Tea Party started in 2009, its members have clamored for smaller government, lower taxes and stronger border security. Party leaders—including U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas)—have helped push Republicans further to the right, making it more difficult for House GOP leaders to reach a compromise on funding the government.

While less influential in Oregon, Kuzmanich and the state’s Tea Party have nonetheless cheered the confrontation with President Obama over the budget.

Kuzmanich, for example, appeared on KATU Channel 2’s Your Voice, Your Vote on Oct. 6, where he told host Steve Dunn the forced budget austerity would help Americans return to “fiscal and personal responsibility.”

Washington County court records show Kuzmanich is more than three years behind in mortgage payments on a Beaverton duplex.

The lender, the Federal National Mortgage Association, better known as Fannie Mae, has gone to extraordinary lengths—unsuccessfully, so far—to find Kuzmanich and serve him with court papers.

Kuzmanich, 45, is a University of Iowa grad who built a family trucking business and worked as a mortgage broker. He burst onto the political scene in 2009, founding the Oregon Tea Party and launching a bid for the 1st Congressional District seat then held by U.S. Rep. David Wu (D-Ore.).

Apparently the "fiscal and personal responsibility" concepts are for those other people.................

Left wing/right wing, what silly nonsense. Both wings are nuts. Perhaps Tay and TeddyPlayswithhisBalls should rent a gym and duke it out. I'm sure most CCers would pay to see that.

Nothing wrong with PlayingWithBaals. :)

...The real truth is this, if the Republicans have a scandal about money they are forgiven

This guy prolly missed out on a few relief checks from the Koch brothers and likely thought the state would bail him out. After all, we all know how Tea Baggers love their welfare - just like these hypocrites:
