First of all, I'm from Ontario and Ontario's GDP is more than double that of Alberta's. Why are we still in debt since we produce twice as much as Alberta? Try not to hurt yourself when you try coming up with the answer

Ontario has how many more people than Alberta? Only twice the GDP though. A lot more infrastructure to look after in Ontario too.

What about native religions. They accept gays and lesbians.

Other than Islam, every religion "accepts" gays. None accept them as being married in the house of God.

The creepiness is being tracked by the government. Keep in mind that it's unlikely that government is going to be one you support. Feeling creepy yet?

Sorry to burst your bubble but you have been tracked from the day you were born. Birth certificate. You are tracked from employer to employer. SIN Your spending habits are tracked. Credit Cards. If you have a cell phone, you can be tracked to your exact location. Your computer gets tracked. They can find out which sites you visit and what you type on the net. Unless you live in a cave, you're already being tracked. The only time your prints would ever come into question is if you get arrested. Like at the next G8 summit.

Except the discussion was about racial profiling.

You're the one who brought up that owning a gun was a choice. Your memory is fading.

Do you think we're stupid?

You don't really want me to answer this do you?

You keep saying that you have nothing to hide. how 'bout you put your name and address up in your next post?

Being fingerprinted by the RCMP and posting my name and address on a public website is hardly a comparison now is it? I'm sure you can do better than that.

It is so that when guns are stolen they are reported stolen and so when the police are walking into a potentially dangerous situation they are aware of it.

Oh I get it now. So when the criminal looks out his window and sees the police coming, he can call the phone registry hotline to advise the that he is in posession of a registered gun and that the officers outside his door should proceed with caution.

If a criminal steals a hunters gun, and decides to use it in a robbery, I hardly think that the fact it is registered will make a difference. Yet 2 BILLION dollars later, the gun registry has proven to be pointless. How many hospital beds could have been saved with this 2 BILLION dollars.

There are militias all over the US. Do you not have access to media. Timmy McVeigh was part of one. Several were attached to the farm movement. Quite a few have ties to religious exremists (Waco and Ruby Ridge ring any bells?) and others are just made up of survivalist nut-bags.

Why not bring up some events that happened with a year that starts with a 20 and not a 19?

Why does it only matter if the targets are here though? I thought it was supposed to be global war on terror. Isn't that what Georgie said? Why yes, yes it is. Now I knew he was lying when he said it, but thanks for confirming that for us.

It is global. The US, GB, Spain and few other countries are actively fighting it yet countries like our own bury our heads in the sand and pretend that terrorism doesn't exist.

Israelis shooting Palesinian school children.

Don't tell me your anti-semetic too? I respond with a dozen examples and you come back with this. Let me explain this to you once so that you will never have to make reference to this nonsense again. There is a BIG difference between a child being caught in the crossfire of a gunfight and a lunatic, straping himself/herself in explosives and looking for crowds of civilians to blow up. All for the great reward of 72 virgins in the afterlife.

100,000 Iraqis dead at the hands of George Bush.

The UN states 10,000. I guess they must be mistaken since you know the true number. You can't include insurgents, Iraqi army, suicide bombing casualties etc in your numbers. That would be Lying right?

What I was responding to was your assertion that, "They want to be married in the house of God." It was you who said that, crit.

NO, it is not their right to be married in a church which forbids it. Just as it's not my right to walk into a mosque with my shoes on. The charter of rights is not a free pass to piss on everyone elses beliefs because it makes you feel good.

I know an awful lot of people who disagree with you. To make such claims is foolish.

Yeah, all your NDP buddies that think Bob Rae is dreamy.

Alberta happens to be sitting on a puddle of oil and natural gas. They also have about the worst deal for selling that oil in the entire world. Klein brutalized a good portion of the population with his policies and, even though they are the richest province, still charges user fees for healthcare.

Excuses. Do you honestly think it's a coincidence that the province that is the most Conservative is the best off financially? The last time I checked, no one was dying in Alberta from the lack of health care. In Ontario however, my daughter gave me a scare during my 11 hour wait for a doctor. No user fees but a hefty health tax thanks to the Liberals.

Of course if Harris hadn't messed things up so badly, McGuinty might have something to work with. For that matter, if Harris wouldn't have pissed so many people off, McGuinty might not even be in office.

The only people Harris pissed off were the unions. Now they're even more pissed of at McGuinty. Go Figure.

Other than Islam, every religion "accepts" gays. None accept them as being married in the house of God.

Actually some of the native religions do. That would mean that you are...how should I put this? Oh yeah...You are WRONG! :D

Sorry to burst your bubble but you have been tracked from the day you were born.

Not quite the same as being suspected of heinous criminal acts.

You're the one who brought up that owning a gun was a choice. Your memory is fading.

Actually it wasn't me. Better check your own memory. Owning a gun is a choice though...what colour your skin is and, arguably, what religion you adhere to, is not. Want to keep all new immigrants frm owning guns for a set period of time. Be my guest. Want to racially profile them. Piss off.

Being fingerprinted by the RCMP and posting my name and address on a public website is hardly a comparison now is it?

So what are you hiding from us?

Oh I get it now.

You are being willfully obtuse. It's a sign of ignorance.

Why not bring up some events that happened with a year that starts with a 20 and not a 19?

Why, did all these guys disappear at midnight 1999. Who was mailing the anthrax btw?

It is global. The US, GB, Spain and few other countries are actively fighting it yet countries like our own bury our heads in the sand and pretend that terrorism doesn't exist.

Funny, I seem to remember us going to Afghanistan. I know that we passed a brutally regressive anti-terrorist bill too.

Don't tell me your anti-semetic too?

Don't even try to start with that bag of crap you guys always drag out whenever somebody criticizes the Israelis.

The UN states 10,000.

The best scientific survey says 100,000.

NO, it is not their right to be married in a church which forbids it

And the legislation expressly states that churches will not be forced to perform same sex marriages, so when you drag your "House of God" gobbledegook in, you are being less than honest and using a scare tactic.

Yeah, all your NDP buddies that think Bob Rae is dreamy.

How about everybody who voted against the Conservatives because they were still pissed at Harris.

It's not excuses. Klein has closed hospitals. Old people are eating dog food. Handicapped people have had their services cut. There's an affordable housing crisis that has people with full-time jobs living in shelters.

The only people Harris pissed off were the unions. Now they're even more pissed of at McGuinty. Go Figure.

Yeah, because everybody that voted against Harris was a union member.

Actually some of the native religions do. That would mean that you are...how should I put this? Oh yeah...You are WRONG!

Once again, I'll ask the same question. Which religion? Give me the name. To throw out "some native religions" is a cop-out.

Not quite the same as being suspected of heinous criminal acts.

Explain how being fingerprinted makes one a suspect to a heinous crime. You're really reaching now.

Actually it wasn't me. Better check your own memory. Owning a gun is a choice though...what colour your skin is and, arguably, what religion you adhere to, is not. Want to keep all new immigrants frm owning guns for a set period of time. Be my guest. Want to racially profile them. Piss off.

Fingerprint EVERYBODY, regardless of the colour of their skin.

So what are you hiding from us?

Now you're just being silly. If you can't rebut, simply don't answer. The only thing I'm hiding is the fear of one of you fanatical lunatics coming by my house and buring it down. All in the name of peace.

You are being willfully obtuse. It's a sign of ignorance.

Personal attack and yet another non answer.

Why, did all these guys disappear at midnight 1999. Who was mailing the anthrax btw?

Why don't you answer the question? Reach into your little box of conspiracy theories and share it with rest of us. You probably believe that CIA agents flew the planes into the WTC by remote control.

Funny, I seem to remember us going to Afghanistan. I know that we passed a brutally regressive anti-terrorist bill too.

We sent the equivalent of a boy scout troop. Our soldiers were wearing GREEN army fatigues in the desert. They had to borrow equipment and hitch rides from the US just to get there.

Don't even try to start with that bag of crap you guys always drag out whenever somebody criticizes the Israelis.

Kind of like when someone disagrees with gay marriage automatically becomes homophobic?

The best scientific survey says 100,000.

No such survey exists.

How about everybody who voted against the Conservatives because they were still pissed at Harris.

We'll see what happens in the next election.

It's not excuses. Klein has closed hospitals. Old people are eating dog food. Handicapped people have had their services cut. There's an affordable housing crisis that has people with full-time jobs living in shelters.

All those problems and more exist in every other province in Canada. Why aren't they debt free?

Yeah, because everybody that voted against Harris was a union member.

Not everyone, but there was block voting. I have a friend that's an electrician and another that works for Canada Post. They were "told" to vote Liberal.

Once again, I'll ask the same question. Which religion? Give me the name. To throw out "some native religions" is a cop-out.

There are several. The concept of being "other-natured" is not some huge transgression in native culture. You can check with native groups, but the ones that spring to mind are Cree, Ojibway, and Sioux.

Explain how being fingerprinted makes one a suspect to a heinous crime. You're really reaching now.

If you aren't suspected of a crime, why would they treat you as a criminal?

Fingerprint EVERYBODY, regardless of the colour of their skin.

Fingerprint nobody unless you have a legitimate cause to suspect them of something.

Now you're just being silly. If you can't rebut, simply don't answer. The only thing I'm hiding is the fear of one of you fanatical lunatics coming by my house and buring it down. All in the name of peace.

Nobody here would do such a thing. Trust us. Why not? You are willing to trust a government who is willing to share your information with another government.

Personal attack and yet another non answer.

Just stating a fact.

Why don't you answer the question? Reach into your little box of conspiracy theories and share it with rest of us.

So who was mailing that US-government strain of anthrax? What did happen to all those militia members? Did they all suddenly reform themselves? I put up facts and you accuse me of conspiracy theories.

We sent the equivalent of a boy scout troop.

We were the lead force there.

Kind of like when someone disagrees with gay marriage automatically becomes homophobic?

No...more like homophobes disagree with gay marriage.

No such survey exists.

Now you are just lying. It was published in the Lancet and made headlines all over the world.

We'll see what happens in the next election.

That we will.

All those problems and more exist in every other province in Canada. Why aren't they debt free?

They don't have the oil wealth. How come Klein didn't use some of his money to solve the problems?

Not everyone, but there was block voting. I have a friend that's an electrician and another that works for Canada Post. They were "told" to vote Liberal.

Their shop stewards followed them into the voting booth, did they?

The Cree also come to mind, and to a lesser extent the dogrib nation (many names) It's not that they accepted gays and lesbians but to them they were considered more like a different gender to a degree. Their role in the social groups were used in a variety of ways, dealing with children, medicine people/shamans, etc. They had something to contribute while the men hunted for food and women tended to the camps. Nobody lost out.

You can check with native groups, but the ones that spring to mind are Cree, Ojibway, and Sioux.

You're the one trying to make up some story that native Indians support gay marriages within their religion. Do your own research and stop passing the buck. This is not a union.

If you aren't suspected of a crime, why would they treat you as a criminal?

Many banks in Europe and some in the States now use fingerprints for identifying their customers. You can steal a debit card but you can't steal a fingerprint. Now your going to tell me your against technological advances. You watch to much Cagney and Lacey reruns where they force the criminals to dip their fingers in ink and spread them across paper.

Fingerprint nobody unless you have a legitimate cause to suspect them of something.

More and more banks are suspecting people of being their customers. LOL

You are willing to trust a government who is willing to share your information with another government.

I trust the government a heck of a lot more than the people I just met on a loony leftie forum.

So who was mailing that US-government strain of anthrax? What did happen to all those militia members? Did they all suddenly reform themselves? I put up facts and you accuse me of conspiracy theories.

The CIA and FBI spend millions of dollars looking for the people responsible for the Anthrax letters. They should have saved their money and given you a call. You seem to know everything.

No...more like homophobes disagree with gay marriage.

I'm glad that you accept your ignorance.

Now you are just lying. It was published in the Lancet and made headlines all over the world.

Already addressed this is a previous post.

They don't have the oil wealth. How come Klein didn't use some of his money to solve the problems?

I'm sure you would love to see him walk around Alberta giving tax payers money away by the fistful. You must be one of those people that thinks governments make money. Every dollar they spend, waste or steal comes out of tax payers pockets.

Their shop stewards followed them into the voting booth, did they?

You should know very well how these unions brainwash their minions. After all, you support them wholeheartedly.

Now that you've completely degenerated into the realm of nonsense, do you feel better?

Clean up the tone of your posts. If you don't, I will.

I answered your question about native religions. Accept the answer and shut up or prove it wrong.

No actually, you didn't.

I didn't say that the natives would support gay marriages. Most of those that I spoke of never would be considered "marrigeable" Shamans were pretty much alone. Anyways making things up is not part of my business Buddy.

I spent most of my life being raised in the Northwest territories and Nunavut. I lived around these people knobgobbler!! I was the minority, so I got to see how these people view the world, and know-it-all people like you who would say what they've been doing is wrong would get you smashed real quick whiteman!

Clean up the tone of your posts. If you don't, I will.

My tone of posts? As a moderator, you should be able to go back to when I first started posting and follow my conversations. ALL my debates were cival until I started to be attacked on a personal level first. If you think that I'm just going to sit back and take your abuse, you're sorely mistaken.

For someone who accuses Bush of quashing freedom of speech, you certainly threaten a lot of people to keep in line or else. I see that you make a habit of editing some of the very few people on this site that don't have a left wing agenda.

I answered your question about native religions. Accept the answer and shut up or prove it wrong.

No you did not. I asked you to give me a specific religion which allows gay marriages to be performed in their house of God. After fumbling through some sentences you ended up with "some native religions". It's wrong because it's not true. Another poster even pointed out that "fact". He said that they were accepted in society but were not allowed to marry.

Those are services for the Albertan people. It's their damned money.

Alberta has more social services per capita than most provinces. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here. You made the comment that they became debt free on the backs of the poor. The fact of the matter is, there is no abundance of poor people in Alberta compared to other provinces. Filthy rich nations such as Kuwait still have pan handlers.

Here is a link that proves otherwise. (unions brainwashing)

I've Spent a fair amount of years in Alberta too. They do have social services available, but boy you ask anyone who needed to access any of them and they are all made to feel lower than dirt. Like they're trying to get money for a free ride when it's not always the case. Those that do, though at least get busted.

Having to get social assitance once in PEI because I was a new single parent, and they were efficient, understanding, and helpful. None of the hoops that my friends in Alberta had to go through. But I guess any province is different then.

Secondly, calling me a white man proves your a rascist.

That wasn't specifically disigned to be directed to you. That's just the response you'd get if you were dealing with someone from that region with the way the conversation was going...And anyways I'm as white as I could get... :? I wonder is that reverse discrimination? or something else?

Yes. Clean it up. You've been pushing for trouble for a few days now. If you are going to call people communists, accuse people you don't know of being on welfare, talk down to people who may or may not be on welfare, and all the rest of the crap you've been pulling around here, you will find yourself edited. End of story.

You will also find that when we have to do that we try to leave any valid points you may have made intact, so you can drop the censorship accusations.

He said that they were accepted in society but were not allowed to marry.

But they are allowe to marry. It isn't common, but it also isn't prohibited. That my friend is from interviews with native people during the SSM debate.

Alberta has more social services per capita than most provinces.

Those services have a history of being difficult to access and delivered in a mean-spirited way. There is no excuse for that.

All these quotes were personal attacks against me on this single thread.

Have you stopped to consider why you are being met with hostility? Could it be your general tone? Your habit of calling people communists? Your hobby of accusing people you don't know of being on welfare? Your allegations that people on the left can't manage money or run a business? Your insistence that everybody else is wrong all of the time? Maybe it's just the abrasive tone you've taken since you showed up here. Maybe it's your constant complaints that you are being picked on. Maybe it's the fact that you are, once again, dragging a thread off topic to complain that everybody is being mean to you.

Get back on topic, get polite, or get edited.

Discourse in this situation will end up getting hot sooner or later.

At least there's some restraint being used or we would've seen more of: F***, S***, A******, B******, B****, C***,B*****W***, M********,D***,F*****,C******, and I'm sure I missed a few.

If we try to not voice any angst we'll sound like a political debate on the Mr. Dressup forum.

No its not creative at all  I have already edited some of your vulgar remarks. And yes it will be very nice when you push your enevlope to far and you are banned from here.

I wish all you sick conservatives would leave, but its a liberal board so you get to stay and spew your posion, but only to a point. We had conservative people here before. They were decent people that we all liked, your kind is a whole different kettle of fish. In fact one researchok who was a conservative, put his views out in a whole different way, and he and the rev got along great. Its so obvious what you are...and it is anything but creative.
