i recently got a grey one.

what do the blues and greys do with reference to your actual point score? and is there any way to find out how many points any particular greenie is worth? I think the different shades of green represent different amounts of rep, and i'm sure someone posted that the amount of rep depends on the person giving it, and factors about them.

BTW, I always sign my nic so you will know if you get one from me. Anyone will a back bone would.
As it should be eh wot eh1?

The ability to post negative comments without attribution is usually something that appeals to those who speak with salutations the like of 'Hail Brother...' - 'Dear Sister...' - 'Dearest Comrade...'

Of course they delight in the anonymity of being able to slag with no likelihood of redaction or rejoinder.

That being the case - why does it exist I ask. . . .

you and your silly insitance they're grey. they're blue herm. lol. and they don't impact your score.

as for finding out how many points a rep was worth, you can click on the 'leave rep' button for the post you got rep in, and it will tell you how many rep points you received for that particular post.

Who knows, but like anything, it can be used for good or evil.

Bitter? Angry? Naw... it's just a silly feature. I never posted the hundreds of positive ones! ;)

Some people do take what is said to/about them very personally. I can see how it could lead to bitterness or anger if one is prone to take a bulletin board personally. Not sure how people read into it that I am bitter and angry....

I've seen the blue ones. I've ALSO seen grey ones.

here's a screenshot (cropped)

this is a grey one:

note: the second one down is grey. I hope we can all tell that the others are green and only there for comparison, but you never know how many dumbasses are watching.

they're so borderline that it probably depends on the monitor you're looking at them on. I think we've had this discussion, what, three times now?
