Just a follow up on something I wrote on another thread - while Dems ran away from Obama and their voting record, Governor Dayton ran on his record:

They failed to point out the successes of the Obama administration:

.

So Gopher. We actually have one more election coming up.

In Louisiana Democrat Senator Landrieu will be in a run off with the Republican challenger Bill Cassidy.

Will she heed your call and that of the other Democrats that she must run on Obama's record and point out these so called successes? That seems to be the big mistake... that the Dems did not stand by Obama and if they did they would win.

Think she'll do it?

Eagle,

Gopher... he's the Governor of Minnesota! Geez. You live in a pretty solid Blue State! It's not that hard.

Anyhow... I so hope all Democrat candidates going forward do exactly as you say and come out over and over how they supported the President.

Eagle - you have again ignored what I have written.

As I showed you several times now, Minnesota is NOT solidly blue or even close to it as the majority in the state House is Republican and we previously had a red governor (this doesn't even include Gov Carlson and Senators Durenberger, Coleman, and Boschwitz as well as the likes of extremists like Michelle Bachmann). More to the point is the fact that Dems who won this time all went on their record. Those who lost failed to do so.

And again you failed to note that I am not a Democrat.

Thanks for paying attention.

Bachmann is a centrist, it's the Dems that have become extreme radical leftists.

Gopher... say what you want to say but as I have proven with facts that it is a pretty solid blue state.

Both MN Senators are Democrats
Five of three US House of Representatives are Democrats
A Democrat Governor

So please... give up the ghost on that.

MN is not as blue as MA... but you're blue.

So... will Landireu run on Obama's record and stand by him?

That's the problem with those of you from the far right - you are just so entrenched in your thinking and continue to believe what you want despite the evidence.

As for Landrieu I do not know what's she's going to do as I do not know that state's politics. But if she has made any accomplishments, she needs to emphasize that and not to allow someone to attack any successes she's had. As for Obama's record, she can easily point out that the economic recovery is a lot better than having Bush's Great Recession.

One thing's for sure, I do not comment on another state's politics if I don't know it.

But she can't say the economy is better than the economy of 2002-2007.

I guess not. During that time the banks and investment companies were busy creating sub prime mortgages and blowing housing prices into the stratosphere.
When that fell down it fell down hard and the world still hasn't recovered.
I will never forgive those money grubbing pricks for ruining the economy.

Meanwhile in America the Democrats got thumped.

Nothing to see here... all is well! :)

Oh I hope she does try to take the latest Democrat (and your) advice and run on Obama's record.

I can get behind that. Mortgages for everyone!

Sure - and just the onus on those who say deregulation works and that private enterprise can handle the problem better. Be great to see how laissez-faire types answer that one.

Ah yes... we must be beholden to our masters in the government when they assist us in a national emergency. We must be thankful that the money they take from us in taxes is spent on us when we need it.

We didn't build those roads right?

Lol!

You likely recall that just before the oil spill the TPs were having a field day blasting away at Obama like he was the Antichrist (I bet you are thinking that's who he is). Then when the oil spill happened and there was nobody else to save NOLA sorry butts, Obama stepped in like their Savior and they all went home.

Same thing in Jersey with Gov Christie.

By the way, home many of these people do you know who politely refused the government's help??

Anybody ...... ???

The Administration was so slow in response to the BP Oil Spill. Far worse than Katrina... as was they were to Hurricane Sandy. Obama took it on the chin with the BP Oil Spill for his delayed reaction. Obama showed up late and only when he had to.

And the governments help you say? That is the Peoples Money... it is not the Government's money. The money they used was money derived from taxes and fees. That is one thing that Democrats and Liberals can never understand... it is not your money. The Democrats think they are doing people favors when they give back.

Dems:

Democrats should've run on economic populism. Instead they ran on 'not really Obama' and got creamed

They failed to point out the successes of the Obama administration:

But Dayton stood by his accomplishments and won:

I don't know much about most of the stuff he is talking about......but the "lowest growth in gov't spending since Eisenhower" is simply hilarious!!

Talk about spin.

When Obama took office in January of 2009 the debt was 10.6 trillion dollars.

It is now almost 18 Trillion dollars.
