Of course I know where Winnipeg is. It's in Canada little guy!

I would think that with you being from Canada you wouldn't have to ask me where Winnipeg is. You must learn your Canadian Geography Rev.!

They used to have a NHL team called the Winnipeg Jets too!

Its called Spring Hill and is still open. I know a number of young people who go there to snowboard.

What happens a lot is the Non-Union Contractor will say to his men

"Look guys this is a big job. If we don't get it I may have to lay people off. Are you willing to work below the wage that I am required to pay you and not say anything?"

Careful or tibear will report you for promoting illegal activity.
 Nobody's promoting anything here. Just saying what might happen. Unlike the favorite pasttime of many on this forum which is illegal and has been promoted since day one.

I feel your pain.

RE: Red River Floodway Ma

Wander off, troll boy. You have no idea where Winnipeg is, what the floodway is, or the issues involved. Your next disruptive bit of trolling will be noted as such.

Tibear: It's exactly the same.

The only Troll here is you.

I was comparing the labor dispute to similar labor disputes that we have here in the USA and you as usual have to follow me around nipping at my heels like a little puppy.

Rev,

Explain to me how the two scenarios are exactly the same.

The way I see it, one activity is clearly illegal and this forum has been promoting it since day one.

The other is a negotiation ploy. Every employer claims that they cannot pay what the employee wants. They know how much profit they want to make and negotiate a wage with the employee to get it. Nothing illegal there.

I can't wait to hear the NDP spin on this one!!!

Start a thread on it, if you want.

Eaglesmack was talking about gaining government contracts under false pretenses and firing people for trumped up reasons. Those are both illegal under Manitoba law.

Just to remind everyone, the topic at hand is the NDP government giving millions of dollars to their union friends by forcing workers to pay union dues to unions that they don't belong to and for benefits that they don't receive.

I just found out this morning that in addition to forcing the members to pay union dues, the companies must also give a full list of the workers' names, home addresses and phone numbers. Talk about invasion of privacy!!!

Care to provide a link on that, tibear?

Vanni,

I heard it this morning on CJOB. I looked at their website but didn't see it there. I'll keep looking.

If you hire casual labour for construction work and wish to claim it on taxes, you also need to provide that information.

The point is that the union get personal addresses and phone numbers of people they DON'T represent. They get union dues because the government has told them they have to pay but they don't get any benefits from their dues.

It's beyond bazaar that mrmom calls you a puke, and it isn't edited, and it is a clear personal attack, but you get edited all the time.
Don't worry though, just take note and realize the kind of ppl your dealing with.

NOTE BY REVEREND BLAIR: Mr. Mom's post was edited immediately after Eaglesmack's was. Now let's head back towards the topic.
