RAF Typhoons have intercepted a Russian Bear Bomber off the coast of Shetland, the UK's most northerly point.

The powerful RAF fighters trailed the Russian craft until it was deemed no threat to Great Britain.

Well, the UK, the US, Canada, they've all gotten little peekaboo planes flying all too close lately.
How close is too close? "Near British airspace" is selling-airtime-speak for "in international airspace."

Contact Traffic Control Tower for heading and altitude suggestions.

Shetland or Shitland? Is "shet" even a word?

RAF is an abbreviation for 'Royal Air Force'.
