That's a pretty low , nasty, useless comment. GWB is rated as the WORST president American has ever had. Behind Harding, Buchanan, and every other 'crisis incompetent'.

Well, I think rating presidents is pretty subjective. I've seen lots of lists of who are the best and who are the worst and most of them differ. About the only consistency I've noticed is Harding is one of the worst and Lincoln is one of the best.

I have to agree with you on the Subjectivity. Millard Fillmore is given extremely low ratings because of his support for the Missouri compromise of 1850, and the fugitive slave act. However, civil war in 1850 would have meant an almost certain southern victory.

Daily kos and other tender liberals hyperventilate over a clown wearing a barry mask. Check it, they mad:

A friend of mine, Perry Beam, posted the following on Facebook.
Last night[8/10/13]/, Lily and I took a student from Taiwan to the rodeo at the Missouri State Fair. Just prior to the start of the bull riding event, one of the clowns came out dressed in this. The announcer wanted to know if anyone would like to see Obama run down by a bull. The crowd went wild. He asked it again and again, louder each time, whipping the audience into a lather. One of the clowns ran up and started bobbling the lips on the mask and the people went crazy. Finally, a bull came close enough to him that he had to move, so he jumped up and ran away to the delight of the onlookers hooting and hollering from the stands. We then left quickly and quietly. Lily's student is an inquisitive boy and asks a lot of questions about what he sees, and though he had never been to a rodeo he asked nothing about it, nor anything about America this time. We rode the sixty miles home in silence. In a way I'm glad. I had no answers for him.

I can't post the picture of "the clown" here. I have posted this same appalling story with the picture at Show Me Progress. Here is the picture.

Reread what I have bolder. Silence is not an appropriate response to this "entertainment" on grounds owned by all Missourians.

I can't write anymore at how disgusting this is. All I want is some heads to roll.

Missouri State Fair officials apologize for rodeo clown who wore Obama mask

By Aaron Blake

Update 4:15 p.m.: The rodeo clown has been banned from participating in the state fair again.

Officials at the Missouri State Fair are apologizing after a rodeo clown this weekend donned an Obama mask and asked people if they want to see the president “run down by a bull.”

Here’s more from AP:
The antics led the state’s second highest-ranking official, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, to denounce the performance in a tweet Sunday. He said it was “disrespectful” to the president.
“We are better than this,” the Republican tweeted.

State Fair officials said the show in Sedalia was “inappropriate” and “does not reflect the opinions or standards” of the fair. “We strive to be a family friendly event and regret that Saturday’s rodeo badly missed that mark,” they said in a statement Sunday.
It wasn’t clear if any action will be taken against the performers.

Perry Beam, who was among the spectators, said “everybody screamed” and “just went wild” as the announcer talked about having the bull run down the clown with the Obama mask.

“It was at that point I began to feel a sense of fear. It was that level of enthusiasm,” Beam, a 48-year-old musician from Higginsville, said Sunday, referring to the reaction from the crowd that filled the fair’s grandstand.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) has also weighed in on the reports, calling the reported episode “shameful and it’s unacceptable.”

Rep. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.), meanwhile, said: “I am amazed that in 2013, such hatred, intolerance and disrespect towards the President of the United States could take place at the Missouri State Fair. Our fair is supposed to showcase the best of Missouri, instead, it showed an ugly face of intolerance and ignorance to the world.”

Don't soft pedal him. It was a bizarre and boorish , boorish outburst and the poster should request that it be withdrawn- if he has any degree of self respect.
It was an extremely rare bad moment for what is usually the sanest and most thoughtful poster on this board. I said my piece, soldier to soldier. You want to say something different, go ahead on.

Good query:

Lefty Publications - like US NEWS and World Report..
Historians Rank George W. Bush Among Worst Presidents - US News and World Report

George Herbert Walker Bush is well respected...

Take it with a big grain of salt. I think I heard somewhere that one of those bottom rated presidents was rated such because he was alleged to be gay. I also read somewhere that U.S. Grant was one of the very worst.............maybe because he did a bit of drinking.

On Sept 10 2001, g W Bush ( the offshoot) was busy waging full blown economic warfare- against the outlaw nation of Canada and the notorious renegade leader, Jean Chretien.

Then he was temporarily distracted...

I had to laugh at that crap TV station called FOX. They are getting desparate for scandals. Last night their big issue was Obama golfing.
