Guess I'll have a chat with my doc to see if it'd be worthwhile. If she thinks it's recommendable then I'll go for it unless they use a syringe the size of my baster.

Probably a good thing, but this whole subject has been blown way out of proportion. It's just another strain of flu virus, probably not much better or worse than most. Apparently we old codgers born prior to 1957 are more or less immune to it. On the other hand regarding a handful of seemingly healthly people who have died from it, I wouldn't down play the importance- just don't think the media needs to air it 47 times a day.

I've heard that people born before 1957 need not worry over much and then I've heard that anyone under the age of 65 needs to worry (the two don't fit)and I've also heard that anyone over 65 better hurry to get the vaccine and the pneumonia shot if they haven't had one. Conflicting reports everyday.

Pneumonia shot is free once you turn 65 and you only need the one for the rest of the duration.

Sometimes getting a small dose of a disease to prevent full onslaught fails and the disease becomes free to multiply.

Do these vaccines by any chance come from a country that has been known to give North American kids toys with lead paint?

I would imagine there must be some testing procedures and protocol, I'd be a little leery about just sticking it in people's arms as soon as it comes off the truck.

People, why not just ask your docs? Unless you think your docs aren't up to date on the H1N1 info.
